My dear friends and colleagues,
A few years ago, we had the opportunity to start up a business to change the economic situation of many impoverished Guatemalan coffee farmers in my village. Here is a quick description of what Byron´s Coffee is about.

Byron´s Coffee specializes in buying coffee from local farmers and processing it into the highest quality coffee possible.

Local coffee farmers struggle to make a living and provide for their families. Low prices and the challenge of getting coffee to market make it difficult to meet even basic needs.

Byron’s Coffee is committed to supporting local farmers and the economic development of communities. We pay 15% more than the local price for coffee. Our centralized operations make it easier to deliver coffee to roasters. This saves time and reduces transportation costs. With more money and less expense, farm families can invest more in their coffee production and afford their children’s education

Now that COVID-19 has hit Guatemala, our operations have slowed down, affecting the lives of our coffee farmers associated with this project.
