Dear travellers and visitors of Santorini,

In light of the recent earthquakes experienced in our beautiful island, we want to take a moment to provide some reassurance and clarity since many people are sharing fake news about the volcanos!

Experts have been closely monitoring the situation and have confirmed that these seismic activities are not linked to volcanic activity (Caldera or Koloumbos) Instead, they are a result of tectonic movements in the regiol of Amorgos/Anidros plate located just a few kilometers away from Koloumpos.
The tremors are not coming from the volcano but from the fault associated with Amorgos!

It’s important to note that both the Caldera and Koloumpos areas are being thoroughly monitored, and professional assessments indicate that they are under control.

The earthquakes we have felt recently, although they may have caused concern, have not resulted in the collapse of any structures or houses! No rocks have fallen anywhere except for those that typically fall when it rains too!!

Our geological experts are dedicated to keeping a close eye on the situation. Safety protocols are in place, and we are committed to maintaining the well-being of everyone in our community.

We urge you to remain calm and informed. Santorini has a long history of resilience in the face of natural events, and together we will navigate through this period.
