Corfu Golf Club`s beautiful course has been praised by many as one of golf`s best kept secrets in Europe! It was designed by the famous Swiss based architect, Donald Harradine who blended the natural resources of the lovely Ropa Valley including the river of Nafsika (Odyseus was rescued by Princess Nafsika at its exit on Ermones beach), with man made hazards to make the course a good but fair test

. It is as enjoyable for the scratch player as it is for the long handicap one. The treelined fairways and the sandtraps combine with the several lakes and meandering streams, to make an attractive picture against a backcloth of high hills. A magical place full of animals and birds (kingfishers, herons, otters, fish). The course has been recently renovated, with major work carried out on the bunkers and an upgrade to the irrigation system, therefore keeping the course in perfect condition at all times. From March to November and sometimes beyond, there is warm sunshine and blue skies in Corfu but even in high summer on the golf course there is almost always a cooling breeze blowing in from the sea. Golf is also played throughout the winter in Corfu, so anytime is golf time! There are three sets of tees thus providing enjoyment for all categories of players. The turf is very good and easy to walk on and every hole on the course provides infinite variety - and it`s own problems. Corfu is a great golf course and it`s fame is spreading rapidly as golfers come from all over the world to test their skill at golf and to enjoy an island which offers spectacular scenery, fine hotels, good food and a warm welcome.

Before the presentation ceremony to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Championship we enjoyed music from the Corfu Mantzaros Philharmonic Orchestra.

The presentation included an interesting reflection of the week from Tommy Tokas, President of the Hellenic Golf Federation.

Evening celebrations ensued which entertainment from the legendary swing singer Mr Russell Shaun and we danced into the night.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.

Well that was a great tournament. 10 teams competing in our 2nd PGA Pro-Am hosted by ourselves, Holiday 4 Golfers and Corfu Holiday Palace
Winners of the team event was the professional Daryl Ley and his amateurs Jay Wilson, David Hawes and Lewis Stavros. Runners up were team professional Simon Bishop and his amateurs Nobby Pearce, Catherine Pearce and Sarah Bishop.
Winner in the individual pro event with a fantastic score of 6 under par for 3 round was Phil Kelly closely followed by Simon Bishop and Grant Hamerton in 3rd place.
Golden Shot winner in the amateur event was Steve Brigg and runner up was Nigel Balshaw.
Golden Shot winner in the professional event was won by Simon Lucas.
We all a fantastic presentation evening at the superb Corfu Holiday Palace with great food and Greek Wine from our island.
Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to all of the competitors for playing in the event. 🇬🇷🏌️‍♀️🏌️❤️

After the terrible floods over the winter the sun is out and the course is recovering. Our annual greens maintenance will be carried out over the coming weeks and we are well on track for season opening on the 1st of April.
