Under the rocks of Meteora,
since 1925 Gertsou family runs the restaurant Meteora. For four generations we preserve our constancy in quality, taste and the excellent service! The restaurant started from our grandfather Dimitrios Gertsos who taught his daughter in law Kaiti and his son Haris the art of cookery! They managed with great success to pass their knowledge to the next generation that we represent!

100 years of flavor, memory and love!
Each season's end feels like a quiet pause..a moment to look back at everything we shared. This year was even more special..100 years since our great-grandfather first opened our doors, setting a table filled with tradition, passion and the stories of people through time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our journey, and a special thanks to our team, whose warmth and dedication keep this legacy alive. We close our doors for now, and we'll meet again in April to keep writing our story, one plate at a time🥰

🎄Merry Christmas from our Family to Yours🎄

This holiday season, we wish you all health, peace, joy, tasty recipes and the warmth of being surrounded by loved ones❣️ May you cherish each precious moment and create beautiful memories that last a lifetime❣️
As we gather to celebrate, we also take a moment to remember those who are no longer with us😔
In loving memory of our beloved grandmother, Kaiti, who cooked with love for over 50 years at our restaurant❣️ Christmas used to be the only festive time we could celebrate all together❣️ You see, during Easter and summer, our restaurant is open and very busy, so there is no time to gather as a family. I still can taste her amazing chicken soup and her tasty kreatopita -a pie with phyllo pastry and savory meat🥧 I remember her hands serving us while my grandfather would tease her by asking for a specific piece of the pie😊 He had a refined palate and was hard to please - the toughest judge ❣️
We miss those days so much but her spirit and warmth live on in every dish we serve❣️
May your hearts be full of love, your homes full of joy and your lives filled with gratitude 🙏 🎅
