Since 1981, the Pappas family runs it as a restaurant and until today they prove why it’s the first choice on the island. It has been awarded the Best Restaurant in Agkistri for three consecutive years and has received the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for the high quality of services that is offers.
When you enter the warm and friendly space, decorated like the courtyard of a traditional house, you can eat fresh traditional Greek food. The mother of the family cooks daily, with an emphasis on excellent quality and traditional Greek recipes. Toxotis also offers a wide selection of excellent quality local meats and fresh fish from the fishermen of the island.
Tip: You will eat well but above all we want you to truly enjoy the food!

Το Αγκίστρι αναφέρεται σε αρχαία κείμενα απο τον Όμηρο, το Θουκυδίδη όσο και το Διόδωρο με την ονομασία «Κεκρυφάλεια» (όμορφα στολισμένο κεφάλι), λόγω της εντυπωσιακής βλάστησης. Το νησί είναι ιδανικό για όσους αγαπούν την πεζοπορία και την ποδηλασία μέσα στο βουνό ή στους γραφικούς οικισμούς Μετόχι, Λιμενάρια και Σκληρή.

Agkistri is mentioned in ancient texts by Homer, Thoukididis and Diodoros by the name “Kekryfaleia” (beautifully embellished head), because of the impressive vegetation. The island is ideal for those who love hiking and cycling in the mountain or in the graphic settlements Metochi, Limenaria and Skliri.
When it comes to beaches, Agkistri has many with crystal clear blue waters, pebble and sand, in Scala and in Megalochori. The beaches that stand out are Aponisos, Dragonera, Mariza, Skliri and Chalikiada.
