The forecast is looking beautiful for the next few days here in Nuuk, and we’ve been getting ready for it! Our amazing technical team has spent the day preparing our rooftop terrace for the spring season - and it’s finally ready to welcome you.

The photo says it all: smiles, fresh air, and good vibes up top!

We’ve added new dishes AND new drinks to the menu at Nivi - and they’re ready to meet you:

Shrimp slider - juicy shrimp patty with classic tartar sauce
Dirty fries - crispy fries with nacho cheese sauce & bacon
Wakame salad - fresh, light and full of umami
"Go Fish" - fish fillet with smiley fries (happy kids = happy parents)
Twisty shrimp - big fried shrimp wrapped in crispy potato crunch

Dear guests,
Today Monday 26th and tomorrow Tuesday 27th, we will open a bit later than usual - at 17.00 o clock - as we are renovating our entrance areas to make the restaurant even more welcoming for you.

Please note that during these days, only one entrance door will be available. We kindly ask for your understanding while we give our restaurant a small refresh.

Tomorrow we stand together.

Due to the demonstration on Saturday the 17th, in response to recent U.S. statements regarding Greenland, our restaurant will remain closed until 15:00.

We have chosen to do this in order to give all of our employees the opportunity to participate in the demonstration, should they wish to do so. We believe that moments like these matter - moments where unity, respect, and care for our country and for one another come first.

Greenland is strongest when we stand together.

When the world feels chaotic, sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh together.

We don’t usually do politics. We’re chefs, servers, dishwashers, managers - people from many different countries, working side by side in beautiful Nuuk.
But every now and then, something is so off that we all agree.

So yes, today we’re wearing funny hats.
Yes, we’re joking.
But the message is serious.

No matter our nationality, background or passport, we’re united in one thing:
The American approach to Greenland - and the recent statements from Donald Trump - show a profound misunderstanding of who we are.

Greenland is not a joke, not a product, and not a bargaining chip.
But laughter is a way to stand together when the noise gets loud.

Here’s to humor, unity, and reminding the world that Greenland speaks for itself
