🍍 Meet Phillip, guys!

Over the years, Phillip and I have worked out various ways for me to get his amazing pineapples without the physical tax on my body. There are times, though, when I just have to lace up my boots and make the 6 hour trod. One night I even got stranded in Grenville, not yet then being familiar with the bus schedules and underestimating the time the entire journey would take (story for another day 🥲)

For some people, the lengths I go to, to make sure I am able to consistently provide a service that I can be proud of, is mind-boggling. I've been discouraged at the earliest stages of my entrepreneurial journey from conducting my business in the way that I do- what I would describe as nothing but integrity. ...but everybody who knows me, would tell you that when I decide to do something (or not do something) there's no threat of hell or high water that can stop me, especially when I have determined the cause to be one that is good and just.

I say all this to say, "intention matters". I choose to pour the same kind of love that I pour in to myself and my daughter, in to my client family who trust me to deliver a product and service that will nourish their body, spirit, and soul. Energy, like health is a frequency that can be felt in the truest and purest sense. I am intentional about sourcing quality produce and packaging not because it's convenient, cheap, or cute- because it's absolutely not- but because that is what will help to bring about the positive change that I envision for my community and individuals within it.

250 pounds of ELECTRIC food! 🍉🍍 🍌


From its inception, Just Juice has been about fostering collective wellness and sovereignty by embodying and fostering individual healing and sovereignty. This partnership with the Whitney Foundation to support the efforts of Camp GLOW, is for me, an opportunity to share on the interconnectedness of body, mind, and soul.

Shout out to Fireman and his team (captured in this video) for the bananas, papayas, and honey dew. Miguel and Cocomelon for the watermelons. Phillip, the incomparable, for the perfect pines.

Although this isn't the 1st time that both Just Juice or the Whitney foundation have payed it forward by giving back to causes that matter to us, it is the first time I have prioritized documentation. With so much ugliness on our timelines these days, a little peace and love goes a long way :)

No excuses. This weekly self-care routine doesn't ask you to overhaul your entire life. All it requires in one simple addition and a commitment to be more mindful as you go through your day.

Many times I realize a big barrier to doing better is the (incorrect) perception that you have to jump straight in to the deep end of what you think wellness looks like. ....but unless you're on your last thread, this is almost never the case.

Where I am now- a beacon of discipline and consistency, is not where I was when I just started. Almost a decade in, I can relate to a lot more of the things many of you are ashamed of than you think. Trust me.

This one is called: "slow and steady wins the race". Or my personal favorite, "one one cocoa fills the basket".

We'll get there, together, one step, one sip at a time 🙂

'Convenience' is killing us. That's the 4th theme that shows up ever so often in my reflections and musings.

It might sound rash. But let's take the emotion out of our response and get down to the facts, data, and supporting evidence.

Regional statistics reveal that upwards of 75% of deaths are NCD related. And this number is higher locally, +80% according to our medical officers in a recent news broadcast. Diet and lifestyle account for the top 2 contributing factors- noting obesity as one of the primary precursors.

Half of our adult population is overweight or obese. 1/4 (to me it's more like 1/3) of our children can be classified as overweight or obese. Where did this come from? Pull up old music videos, movies, documentaries from the 70's 80's and 90's...what was the phenotype of the average person.

This isn't a time to attack the messenger, but a time to pay heed to the message. Pimples on your skin is one thing, blocked arteries, immobility, and an early mortality factor can quickly snowball from the flip side of that coin.

PRIMARY HEALTHCARE doesn't start with going to the clinics for an exaggerated symptom (or near-death experience). It starts by paying attention to, and correcting the subtle cues our bodies give us when we are moving out of alignment.

Excess mucus, achy joints, bloating, fatigue, constipation, skin blemishes, etc. ....these are all genius ways the body communicates dis-ease and imbalance. If we ignore them, over time the symptoms are compounded and fester in to what the allopathic community refers to as 'noncommunicable diseases'.

Don't be a statistic in an increasingly sick world. Let's start paying attention the first time around.

Wow! 🙏🏾 before oficially launching I surveyed persons withing my community. The results were sobering, but coincided with regional statistics, and have further been validated by my service thus far to you all.

The good news through it all though, was that most of you had already identified the gaps and are on the road to committing to better.
