This reinforces all the reasons why I love selling our honey on a stall - face to face with people who can try each different batch and choose their favourite.

Each apiary site will produce different honeys depending on the month that we take the harvest and the flowers that are in bloom within a 2mile flight radius of the hives… the honey even varies from hives that are side by side.

There are just the 2 of us that are involved in the honey collection; there are no factories, no automated processes, no blending or heat treating - just made by the bees, bottled by us and straight to you.

🤦‍♀️ …. I admit that I made the mistake but I always ask the hubby to proof read my website changes and yet somehow we still managed to have this displayed online since Monday!!

Excitement at EYHB HQ…. 😆

New candle moulds were delivered today…

Guess what I’ll be doing tonight?

We always do a first trial pour to test the mould, measure diameters along the height of the design and weigh the total wax content to decide on the wick size and placement (this wax can be recycled and reused so nothing is wasted)

We then do a second pour with the chosen wick inserted. This candle is then burned to check that the wick is correct for the mould and, if it doesn’t burn as it should, we size up or down and try again until we get the perfect combination.

So…. New designs will be coming soon!

Like a lot of beekeepers we are busy extracting our summer honey at the moment 🍯 🐝

The season where absolutely everything is sticky and you have no idea how it gets in all the places it does!!! 🤷‍♀️ 😂 🤷‍♂️

Totally worth it though… it means we’ll have plenty of lovely honey to see us through to spring 😋

Beautiful field of sunflowers a little way from our hives…🌻
