Good morning to you all, and a huge thank you to you all for supporting the café in 2025, it has been so wonderful seeing so many of you this year- we really do appreciate it.

Just to say that we close our doors today for the festive period and we will reopen again bright and early at 7am on Friday 2nd January.

URGENT MESSAGE

Unfortunately, due to a planned power cut tomorrow, Wednesday 28th October, between 9am and 3pm, we have no choice but to close the cafe for the day 😞 we offer our sincere apologies to anyone this will affect and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We are so sad it's had to happen- especially over half term.

URGENT
Unfortunately, we are unable to open today due to a burst water main meaning we cannot operate as we have no water. So we have no flushing toilets, no hand washing facilities, no hot drinks etc, we have an obligation to the safety of every customer and member of staff to make the decision to close today- we are so sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience, we really wish this wasn't happening 😥
We will be open as usual tomorrow 🙏

VACANCIES!!!

We are a very busy café based on the outskirts of York. We Specialise in English breakfasts and
operate a sit in café and takeaway service. We are very proud of what we do and have a
professional but fun environment.
We have positions for team members, who can cover all areas of the café and kitchen,
including:
- Cooking
- Operating the tills
- Waitressing and clearing tables
- Dishwasher operation
- Preparing food
One position is for 2 weekdays starting at 6.45am and a Sunday, 8.30am to 1.30pm. The
second position is for 3 weekdays starting at 6.45am and a Sunday, 8.30am to 1.30pm.
Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant is essential, and you must be able to work under
pressure. You will be reliable, a good communicator and have a good work ethic.
Please note that we are not on a bus route, so it is essential that you have your own transport.
