After 7 years Source restaurant has now closed , we thank you all for you custom and support over the years.

Source was something that Katie and Adam built from a dream. We had no money but wanted to bring something new to our wonderful city , a locally sourced fresh food restaurant that is inclusive to everyone.
Source has served a huge amount of people, guests that needed company while going through un-spoken tragedies, families that needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and Source was a first date hot spot!
We have seen first dates , turn to weddings and then children being born. A list celebrity’s enjoying the privacy of Table 1, and people just absolutely loving what we've created.

Source is so special to so many people, and I hope it will have a small piece of your heart as it does very much ours.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our teams over the years, you made Source what it was.

Our guests who were the most amazing and wonderful people we could ever have hoped to have met.

As a family we have decided to put the restaurant up for sale.

It’s a deeply emotional decision and something that hasn’t come lightly.

With the commitment that the restaurant brings we simply can’t keep a healthy family balance and something needs to give.

We have had huge success in our time and have worked with the most amazing team of people.

Source has always been about the people that work here and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved.

We haven’t been able to give the restaurant the attention that it requires recently and that has been frustrating for us and now believe that the time has come.

York is our home and we love the people and our city.

Ok! So here we have the .food Xmas burger, in collaboration with
VFC Fillet , smoked cheese, sage and onion stuffing, hash brown , bacon, hash brown , pickled red cabbage , cranberry sauce and gravy! (It’s famous around these parts)
