Off course he is going to the lovely The Whippet Inn !

Just had quite possibly the nicest table of guests in so far this year. Polite, engaging, remembered all the staff names. Always a pleasure to showcase the Whippet to lovely guests.

It was made even better that one of them was this big guy, not the the one that looks like , the other one - that’s actually THE Jason Momoa Man.

‼️An Important Update from Us at Pairings.‼️�
This is a message we never expected to share.

After 10 wonderful years on Castlegate, our final day of trading will be Sunday 25 January 2026. Our landlords will be taking back the building to operate their own venture under a completely different brand to Pairings.��We had been working hard on plans to relocate nearby, but this became unviable due to planning and budget challenges far beyond what we could reasonably overcome.

We want to be clear: this is not a decision we made by choice. We’ve explored every possible option, but our hand has been forced.

❓What happens now? All existing bookings after the closure date will be cancelled, and we’ll be contacting guests directly.

If you’re holding vouchers, we encourage you to use them while we’re still open. Any valid unredeemed vouchers will be fully refunded to the original purchaser. To request a refund, please email [email protected] with the voucher code.

Our incredible team will remain employed through the transition.

Most importantly, this is not the end of Pairings.��We remain committed to hospitality, to our guests, and to finding the right next step when the time is right.

We’ve celebrated our first anniversary in our new home, welcomed some wonderful new team members, and had the joy of seeing both familiar faces and so many new customers through our doors.
