We are honoured to have been turned into this wonderful book by the incredible Susie Bennett

Susie is a children's fiction author from Stockton who uses her life experiences to create fabulous stories for young readers.

Susie is a regular around the Barrage and has created this educational book which features the Barrage & Claude and has a wonderful message aimed at teaching children about the wonderful Tees Barrage and in particular the journey of a Salmon.

Tom and Matt

Their legacy lives on.

*CHESS BY THE TEES*

I can confirm that our 'Chess by the Tees' event is now rescheduled for Sunday 13th September from 10am until Midday.

All ages and abilities are welcome and everything is provided so no need to worry about bringing anything down.

Even if you haven't played chess but want to learn then this is also for you. We are trying to create a welcoming and social chess scene at the Barrage and people will be willing to assist in any way they can.

If you have any questions regarding the event then please drop me a message.

An incredible gesture for an incredible human. Bravo Three Brothers Brewing Company

This year we have brewed a commorative beer following the sudden passing of Duncan Hird. Duncan was a truly great man who was one of the most supportive and kind people David ever met. Firstly as a youth worker then as a friend regularly attending the eaglescliffe beer festival with his family.

As a lover of dark beers and coffee (but not milk) we brewed an oatmeal stout and whirlpooled in crushed coffee beans kindly donated by San seb coffee van at the barrage.

50p of every pint goes to prostate cancer UK a cause he was passionate about.

It's been an extremely difficult time for Teesside recently but what I've witnessed from the public at the Barrage over the past week gives me hope.

The support and appreciation for Cleveland Police has been absolutely overwhelming and extremely emotional at times.

We've had local officers and also officers from all over the UK down over the past week who have been interacting with customers and also just taking a moment with their colleagues by the River as they go through a very challenging period.

We have many regular customers from the police and we are proud to support them.

My customers are also proud to support them, and through their generosity we are in a position where nobody from the police will need to pay for a coffee for a while.

We value you. We support you. We appreciate you.
