🎉 This weekend at The Mill Inn 🎉

We’ve got a few updates on what’s happening this Friday & Saturday!

This weekend we’ll be celebrating Sion’s 30th birthday. He thinks it’s just a quiet family get-together, so we’ve had to block him from the page for now 🤫. There’s a photo below so you know exactly who we’re celebrating without having to ask around and risk giving the game away! 😂

Without Sion, The Mill Inn simply wouldn’t be what it is today. The renovation was a huge team effort, but his dedication, hard work and determination helped turn a dream into reality. So this weekend is our way of saying thank you while celebrating a very special birthday.

FRIDAY:

🪵 2:30pm – Simon joins us for a LIVE wood carving demonstration. If you’ve seen his work before, you’ll know just how talented he is. Any guesses what he’ll be carving?

🔥 From 5pm – BBQ food prepared by the brilliant Rob Jones.

🎸 5pm – 6:30pm – The Moondance playing classic rock favourites.

🎤 7pm onwards – Sam Felgate, followed by Tom Deary on the decks.

SATURDAY:

🇬🇷 Greek food will be on site to help cure any Friday night hangovers!

🎶 CIC are back with us again because, quite simply, we love having them here.

☀️ And for once, the weather is looking promising too, so it’s shaping up to be a fantastic weekend.

We’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible. Just one favour… please help us keep the surprise going until Friday! 🎉🍻

Another incredible effort from one of our local pubs, Oddfellows Arms, Acrefair who have raised and donated an amazing £625 for Rupert’s Rainbow! 💙

Thank you to everyone who supported them over the weekend.

I genuinely can’t believe the amount of effort people have put into helping Rupert’s Rainbow So many people have wanted to help in any way they can, and they really have.

As a community, we have now raised an incredible £2,020!!!!! and that’s not even taking into account all of the prizes and donations that local businesses and individuals have kindly contributed along the way.

Everyone involved should be so proud of themselves. It shows what can happen when people come together for a good cause.

No parent should have to face challenges like this alone, but it’s been amazing to see so many people willing to help wherever they can.

We’re not stopping here either. You’ll soon see Rupert’s Rainbow collection boxes and posters appearing at The Cons Club and other local businesses as we continue to support this amazing cause.

Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared a post, attended an event or helped in any way. Every contribution makes a difference. 💙

What an amazing weekend of fundraising for Rupert’s Rainbow at The Queens Hotel! £445!!!!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and took part in the pool knockout. The support shown has been incredible.

A special mention to both the winner and runner-up of the competition, who generously donated their winnings straight back into Rupert’s fundraiser. What a fantastic gesture.

The Queens Hotel took Rupert’s Rainbow on this weekend and organised their own fundraising event, and it’s been brilliant to see so many people get behind it. It just goes to show what a community can do when people come together for a good cause.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Steve Buckley, who has kindly donated £100 directly to Rupert’s fundraiser this week.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, supported, or helped in any way. Every contribution makes a difference, and I know Rupert’s family are truly grateful for the kindness being shown.
