I had resided to the fact that I wasn’t organised enough to pick up some eclipse glasses in time before everywhere sold out.
Then headed to restock our bakes at Mynydd Mostyn and look what came out with the milkshake bottle 😍 some serious mum points earned.
So if you head to Dairy Farm Milk & Milkshakes, North Wales today, you might just nab a pair yourself, there’s a lucky dip on selected items 😎 a Jaffa cake cookie pie seems the right treat to have on the day of the eclipse too 🌙

What a week 🫠

What was lined up to be possibly the busiest week of the year… was not.
While I love this weather ☀️ it’s not good for business 🤣
So while trying to battle the heat whilst sitting in a metal box at Llangollen Eisteddfod and keep the cakes from melting, not many people were even walking round to come and get some anyway, because let’s be honest who doesn’t prefer ice cream in this weather???
So after our quietest day at any event ever taking a grand total of… £35 we decided to end the week early 🥵
We were also supposed to be attending the Wauns Carnival yesterday which is usually one of our busiest events, sadly we had to pull out of because we wouldn’t be able to keep the bakes cool enough to sell and knew they’d all be a melty mess by dinner time 😩
I also had (I think) my first ever wedding cake at 30 degrees and let me tell you, the stress of delivering in that weather was next level 🫣 but managed it!
All in all, not a good week, but thankfully they don’t come around too often!
A night of cleaning every thing down, packing everything away and getting on to messages and planning for the week ahead 🥰
