Fantastic to meet Graham and Melissa from Canada again yesterday! 🇨🇦❤️

They’re teachers from near Toronto and absolutely loved their visit to the Wrexham Miners Project — especially the links between the Terry Fox story, education, history and art.

It was brilliant to see how much the story of the Gresford Disaster and the Miners’ history resonated with them, and how these stories connect Wrexham with communities across the world.

They even got to meet Jeff Ivy from Texas 🇺🇸 and hear his amazing story of how he discovered Wrexham and helped share the Wrexham story across the pond.

This is exactly what we love about the Miners — bringing people together through history, stories, education and community. ❤️

Wrexham really is a place with stories that travel far beyond Wales. 🌎⛏️

The last Friday before back to school! Bring your kids (all ages) to our ArtFest at the Wrexham Miners Project! Lots of Arty fun with the support of some of Wrexham’s finest Artists too! Cafe on site too 😀

The art buds had a fab time at Colwyn Bay today ‘shelling’! Lots of treasures of the sea to be found, nice weather too, no rain and quite warm! Finished off nicely with a Maccies!!

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected breakdown of our cooker, Wrexham Miners Project will be closed today while we deal with the issue.

Hi, don’t forget our seaside ‘shelling’ trip! Just to let parents who aren’t coming along know, safety of the children will be paramount, with a flag-poled area on the beach for the children to shell in! Plenty of staff too!!
