Good morning everyone,

We have some delicious specials for you to enjoy in the cafe or garden this week, including our mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini and a hunters chicken toasted wrap. Not to forget a beautifully indulgent lemon and elderflower cheesecake for dessert!

🌟 We Have Some Exciting News! 🌟

Thanks to the fantastic success of our Knit & Natter group, we have decided to open the café every Monday from 10am–1pm, serving a selection of delicious cakes and refreshments.

Our Knit & Natter sessions will continue to take place every other week, but the café will be open to everyone during these hours.

Whether you'd like to join the group, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake, you'll be very welcome.
We look forward to seeing you on Mondays! ☕🍰🧶

Our Pie of the Week is a customer favourite – Steak Pie, packed with flavour and perfect for lunch.

If you're a quiche lover, why not try our Extra Cheesy Quiche, served with homemade coleslaw, Pipers crisps and a fresh side salad.

For those with a sweet tooth, we've added something new to the cake cabinet – our indulgent Peanut Butter Cookie Slab. 🍪
And our Scone of the Week is a delightful White Chocolate & Raspberry Scone – a sweet treat that's proving hard to resist!

After it's short break due to the kitchen refit and Bank Holiday Monday we are pleased to say our knit and natter will take place on Monday 8th June 10am -1pm.

The cafe is also available for cake and refreshments for anyone who would like to visit😊.

Well last week it was sun cream and sun hats… this week it’s raincoats and umbrellas! But that’s not stopping us from bringing some summer vibes into the café ☀️🌦️

Our specials this week include a delicious fresh ham salad or prawn salad — perfect for a lighter lunch.

For something sweet, our summer-inspired zesty lemon scones are fresh from the oven and even better with a generous helping of lemon curd 🍋

And of course, our classic homemade apple crumble is on the menu, served with your choice of custard, ice cream, or a dollop of clotted cream.
Whatever the weather, we look forward to welcoming you soon 💛

On Friday, we said goodbye to Peter on his final day volunteering at DWG.

Peter joined us when we first opened, having recently started his Level 1 Catering course and looking to gain valuable kitchen experience on his day off from college.

Almost three years later, and now nearing the completion of his Level 3 Catering qualification, Peter has secured employment within the catering industry. We are incredibly grateful for all of his hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm during his time with us, and we wish him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter in his professional career.

If you’re looking to fill a few hours each week, miss the social side of work, or would simply like to meet new people, why not consider volunteering with us in the café?

The sunshine is here and our outdoor seating is ready for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful garden surroundings.

Whether you’re joining us for one of our tempting specials or cooling down with an iced latte, it’s the perfect weather to sit back and unwind.

New on the menu this week is a toasted bagel filled with soft cream cheese, delicious smoked salmon and topped with fresh rocket — the perfect light bite for a sunny day.

By popular request, our homemade date and walnut scones are also back and filling the cake cabinet. We can’t wait to welcome you all.

Good morning, everyone! This week, we're excited to feature our popular mince vegetable slab pie. Alongside that, we have a delicious ploughman's lunch special available. It's the perfect treat to brighten your day! If you arent a fan of savoury we have our beautiful carrot cake and apple and cinnamon scones. Come on down and enjoy these fantastic offerings.
