We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef and Cook by prepping ingredients, washing dishes, and maintaining strict hygiene standards to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. This hands-on role is essential for keeping the workspace clean, stocked, and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients for recipes.
Hygiene & Cleaning: Wash dishes, pots, and utensils. Sanitise work surfaces, empty bins, and mop floors.
Stock Management: Unload deliveries, organise storerooms, and rotate stock.
Compliance: Adhere to strict health, safety, and hygiene regulations (such as COSHH and HACCP guidelines).

Ideal Requirements
Experience: Previous kitchen or catering experience is a bonus, though entry-level roles are very common.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a willingness to follow directions from senior chefs.
Certifications: Basic food hygiene certification
