Wow - you guys 🥰 We had to close a smidge early today as you wiped us out! We had no milk, no sausage, no bacon, no bread…etc. Our backs are paying the price of being short-staffed too…man we are old! Well, we certainly feel it tonight. 😂🤪

We just wanted to say a big thank you for your continued support for our little independent cafe on the water and all the lovely comments on our food. It’s so nice to see you visit 🥰🥰

We will be back open on Wednesday with a fully stocked boat!

Our fish finger sandwiches are very popular and get great feedback so the team have persuaded me to add a scampi sub roll to the menu (I hate fish/seafood etc…I think you’re all mad 😜😂) so, from tomorrow you’ll be able to get another fishy 🍤🐠🎣 dish at Cafe Afloat. £6.50.

Also, don’t forget we are open now Wednesday to Sunday and will likely be closed on wet weather days. Check our page if you’re making a special trip as we update if closed for weather.

Good morning. Cafe Afloat is CLOSED again today (Friday) but back open for the weekend with a new item we are trialling….canned sweets. We’ve reduced our cake offering for Autumn in an effort to reduce wastage but will keep your sweet tooth suitably satisfied with these 😁

We will be CLOSED on Wednesday 7th October due to being short staffed and the rain looks to be coming in. 🫣😢 sadly we are losing another member of the team due to serious health issues so we are really keen to find someone to join us asap who has experience of Barista or flat plate cooking. Whilst we don’t need someone necessarily fully trained on everything we do need someone who can hit the ground running. See our job advert in our previous post. Weekends also available.

On a good note….we had a rather lovely review a few days ago. It’s always so easy for people to leave negative comments so I am always thrilled when someone goes to the effort to leave something positive. Be more like Gary and spread the positivity everywhere you go 🥰

This role is predominantly Wednesday to Friday 8:30 till 3:30 plus occasional weekends to cover holiday. Immediate start available.

Talk like a Pirate Day! This Saturday 19th September.

Due to the changeable weather this event had now been changed to a simple, free to attend event. Celebrating ‘Talk like a Pirate Day’, yes, that’s really a thing, we have;

🏴‍☠️ Sea shanties performed live by local group ‘Severn Landlubbers’ from 1:30pm till 3pm
🏴‍☠️ Fish specials on the menu to enjoy on the quayside

Enjoy some waterside fun for an afternoon.

We have the musical talents of Molly quayside from around 10am this morning singing for the runners as they come by for Worcester half marathon.

Marquee is up but rain looks to be gone for now.
