The new paint job is coming along nicely and what a wonderful day it is here at The Talbot!

As well as the paint job, we’ve had lots of help and hard work going on elsewhere around the pub too. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped, worked, supported us or simply given us inspiration over the last month or so ❤️

It really feels like things are looking up!

🍄 Straight from the Talbot garden to your plate 🍄

We’ve been out foraging and have found some beautiful parasol mushrooms…

They’ve made the most wonderful little lite bite meal or starter - sautéed with garlic, served in a creamy sauce and piled onto a slice of our Talbot baked sourdough croûte!

Fancy a bigger portion? From 5pm tonight, you can get your hands on these delicious mushrooms combined with beetroot and chickpea in our Vegetarian Wellington, (currently being constructed by the kitchen) 👀🍄

🎷 JAZZ NIGHT AT THE TALBOT 🎷

This Tuesday the 15th September, we’re turning up the atmosphere with a very special evening of live jazz! 🎶

We’re delighted to welcome the renowned Perdido Jazz Band, joined by special guest musician Dave Deakin on bass.

Expect fantastic musicianship, great rhythms and plenty of that laid-back jazz atmosphere that makes for a brilliant night out. Whether you’re a dedicated jazz fan or just fancy something a little different, come along, grab a drink, enjoy some food and let the music do the rest 🍷🎶
