From 7pm, we’re kicking off the first of our leaving celebrations!

After an incredible two years at our little village pub, it’s nearly time for us to start a new chapter, more family time, new adventures and, for Nat, finally taking the leap to follow a long-held dream ❤️

So what better way to celebrate than with Sam Michael Lamden AND HIS BAND! 🎸🎶

This won’t be our final goodbye, we’ll still have a proper “end of the road” drinks night – but it’s time to start celebrating an amazing two years together!

🍻 TWO YEARS! 🍻

Two years ago, we opened the doors to our little village pub… and what an adventure it’s been!

It’s been an absolute blast. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, worked harder than we ever thought possible, made some amazing memories, met some incredible people and learnt SO much along the way.

But life moves on, priorities change, and sometimes you realise it’s time to make a change.

For us, that means getting some precious time back with our family, being there a little more for the people who need us most and starting a new chapter together. ❤️

And for Nat, there’s another exciting part to what comes next…

After talking about it, dreaming about it and probably finding a million reasons why now isn’t the right time, she’s finally decided to take the leap and follow a dream she’s had for a very long time.

We’re not quite ready to share what that is just yet… but watch this space. 👀

But before all that, we’ve got some celebrating to do! 🥂🍻🎶

📅 Next Friday, 9th October from 7pm

The legend that is Sam Michael Lamden will be joining us and this time he’s bringing THE BAND! 🎸🎶

This will be the first of our leaving celebrations, with a proper “end of the road” drinks night still to come.

For now, we just want to start saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of this crazy little journey with us.

Here’s to an amazing two years, the memories we’ve made and an exciting new chapter ahead.

In Memory of our pub doggo and head of pub dog walks- Elektra “Stinky the Basset Hound” 🐾🌈❤️

On Friday 7th August, our beautiful basset hound Elektra — affectionately known to everyone as Stinky — suddenly became very unwell in the early hours of the morning.

Everything happened incredibly quickly. She needed emergency veterinary treatment and was taken in for an urgent operation in the hope that we could get our girl better and bring her home.

Sadly, that wasn’t to be.

Despite making it through her operation, Stinky suffered a heart attack while in recovery and tragically passed away.

We are absolutely heartbroken. Anyone who has ever loved a dog will know that they are never “just a pet”. They are part of the family, part of your everyday life, and they leave an enormous space behind when they go. Stinky was full of character, incredibly loved and, in true basset hound style, completely unforgettable.

The speed at which everything happened meant there was no time to prepare — emotionally or financially. We are therefore raising money to help towards the cost of Stinky’s emergency operation, veterinary treatment and cremation.

Any money raised above these costs will be donated to the Basset Rescue Network of Great Britain, helping other beautiful bassets who need care, support and the chance of a loving home.

It feels like a fitting way for something positive to come from such a heartbreaking loss and for Stinky’s memory to help other dogs just like her.

There is absolutely no pressure to donate, but if you are able to give anything at all, however small, we would be incredibly grateful. Sharing this page would mean just as much to us.

Sleep tight, Stinky. 🐾🌈

You were loved beyond words and will be missed more than you could ever know.

🦁 Quiz Night Cancelled 🦁

Unfortunately, we’ve made the decision to cancel tonight’s quiz due to low numbers.

With the summer holidays now in full swing, we completely understand that people have other plans. Rather than run a quiet quiz, we’ll be taking a little summer break for this month.

The pub is open as usual, so if you fancy popping in for a drink, we’d love to see you.

The next World Cup match is nearly here, and we’ll be opening from MIDNIGHT to cheer England on! 🍻⚽

⚽️ Tickets are £15 per person, and every ticket can be redeemed against drinks on the night, making it the perfect way to enjoy the game with us.

⚽️Ticket sales close at MIDDAY on Sunday.
No ticket = No entry. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to admit anyone without a pre-purchased ticket.
Please also remember:
🍺 No outside alcohol or drinks are permitted.
⏰ We will close 15 minutes after the final whistle.
Spaces are limited, so don’t leave it too late!
