Suffolk Blue 💙
Our chicory plants bolted early this spring, making the leaves rather bitter. We were all set to pull them up until we learned the roots can be used to infuse oils. But the best bit of the plant turned out to be the flowers, beautiful to look at and delicious in a salad.

A reminder that nature often has other plans.

🍷 Suffolk Day Wine Tasting at The Bull 🍷

Join us on Sunday 21st June at 6:15pm for a special tasting celebrating some of the finest wines being produced right here in Suffolk.

We'll be exploring four superb wines from Burnt House Vineyard, showcasing just how far English wine has come in recent years. Whether you're already a fan of English wine or simply curious to discover what all the fuss is about, this promises to be a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

As part of the Suffolk Day celebrations, the tickets are just £10 per person.

There seem to be more Nightingales about this year than usual. Or is it just us?

Either way, if a walk along The Deben leaves you feeling a touch thirsty, do pop in for a pint of Nightingale. First brewed during Covid in recognition of the NHS, it has been our most popular ale ever since.

Now that’s something to sing about. 🍺
