🌟 Friendship, fun and a warm welcome at Bushfield Court Day Centre! 🌟

Looking for company, enjoyable activities and the chance to make new friends? Our Day Centre at Bushfield Court, managed by our third-party care provider, Advance Health Care, welcomes older people from across Wolverhampton, as well as residents of Bushfield Court. 💚

There’s something for everyone:
🎲 Quizzes and games
🎶 Singing and dancing
🎨 Arts and crafts
💬 Reminiscence sessions
👩‍🍳 Cooking activities
🧘 Gentle exercise

Join in with as much or as little as you like, with friendly, caring staff experienced in supporting people living with dementia.

It’s a lovely opportunity to stay active and connected, while family members and carers can enjoy some valuable time to themselves.

🚐 Transport available throughout Wolverhampton.
🤝 Places can be arranged privately or through your local authority.

🩷 What a wonderful Wear It Pink day at Bushfield Court! 🩷

We raised an amazing £220 for Breast Cancer Now, and the cake sale certainly went down a treat! 🧁 Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, bought a cake or came along to support.

What made the day extra special for me was having my mom there. Six years ago, she faced breast cancer herself. Her cancer was caught early, giving her the best chance of beating it. Having her alongside us today meant more than words can say. 💕

Please, please get to know what is normal for your breasts and chest, and contact your GP if you notice any changes. This includes men too. It’s a message very close to my heart.

For my mom, and for everyone affected by breast cancer—thank you for helping us make a difference. 🩷

Join us at Bushfield Court this Thursday, 22nd October, from 1pm–2.30pm, as we raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Come along for a delicious slice of cake, a friendly chat and the chance to support a wonderful cause. Residents, family, friends and our local community are all welcome! 💕

🏆 Well, what a day we had yesterday! 🏆

Our Land’s End to John O’Groats awards ceremony at Bushfield Court was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! ❤️

A huge well done to all our residents who took part in the challenge, pushed themselves and achieved something incredible. Every effort, every act of kindness and every new skill deserves to be celebrated. We are so proud of you all! 👏

Thank you to everyone who attended—residents, families, friends, staff and our wider community. Your support never goes unnoticed, and we appreciate every one of you. You helped make the day so special. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to our RECM, Marcus Scott-Robinson, our Head of Extra Care, Jen Bloor, and everyone from Housing 21 and Advance Healthcare who came along to support us. Davina, Sonia, Laura, Jo, Deb, Vicki and Alicia—thank you for being part of our celebrations! 💐

And last, but by absolutely no means least, our Resident Experience Coordinator, Marie Barley—or should we say Tina? 🎤💃

Marie really is the bread and butter of Bushfield Court. Her hard work, dedication and commitment to our residents are astonishing. She puts so much heart into everything she does, bringing people together and helping make our community such a special place.

Marie, you truly are one of a kind and an inspiring woman. Thank you for everything you do. ❤️

What a lovely afternoon at Bushfield Court! 🍂🌾

It was wonderful to welcome over 40 people to yesterday’s Harvest Festival, including residents, family, friends and members of our local community. Seeing everyone come together made it feel really special. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our vicar for leading the service, and to everyone involved for their support, time and kindness. Whether you helped organise the afternoon or came along to join us, you helped make it a lovely occasion.

We’re so proud of the community we have here at Bushfield Court. Days like today remind us how much it means to come together. 🧡

🍂 October’s Noticeboard of the Month at Bushfield Court! 🍂

This month’s board celebrates inclusion, diversity and wellbeing, with themes that connect to the people who make our community special:

🖤 Black History Month – celebrating Black history, achievements and contributions, and encouraging us to learn about and respect different cultures and experiences.

🧠 ADHD Awareness Month and Dyslexia Awareness Week – recognising that we all learn, communicate and process information differently. These differences don’t disappear with age, and greater understanding helps us offer information and support in ways that work for each resident.

🌍 International Day of Older Persons – celebrating our residents’ experiences, talents and contributions, and recognising the importance of having a voice and staying involved in community life.

💚 World Mental Health Day – encouraging conversations about wellbeing and sharing support information. Mental health matters at every age, and nobody should feel they have to struggle alone.

At Bushfield Court, inclusion means listening, respecting differences and helping everyone feel welcome, valued and able to take part. Our noticeboard is one way to start those conversations and learn from each other. 🏡💜

🍂 Harvest Festival at Bushfield Court – supporting our wider community! 🧡

Our Harvest Festival collections are well underway, and our residents and team have already been incredibly generous! 🛒🥫🐾

This year we’ve set up two community donation stations – one collecting food and essential items to support local families, and another collecting food, treats, blankets, toys and supplies for our local Dogs Home. 🐶❤️

For us, good neighbourhood management is about much more than what happens within the walls of Bushfield Court. It’s about being part of the wider community, building connections and creating opportunities for our residents, colleagues and neighbours to make a positive contribution locally.

Our little shopping trolleys are already filling up nicely, and there’s still plenty of room for more! 🙌

It might be a tin of food, a packet of pasta, a blanket or a bag of dog treats – a little really does go a long way. 🍁
