I am proud to be supporting this raffle by donating a 3 Layer Cake worth £35.

Here's a bit more about the cause from my good friend Steve...

Brian Gunter and I will be driving to Ukraine with an humanitarian evacuation vehicle - if we can raise the money.

These vehicles are vital on the battlefield, saving not just the lives of wounded soldiers but also those of the medics and comrades who would otherwise have to risk their own lives to rescue the injured.

We have lots of prizes. Tickets are only £2 each and available from The Starting Gate Penn. Please support us.

🎉🐾 YESTERDAY WE CELEBRATED 2 YEARS OF NORMAN! 🐾🎉

Yesterday was our very own wobbly-bottomed, food-obsessed little character’s 2nd birthday! 😹💙

Norman is definitely one of a kind! He absolutely LOVES his beanbag 🛋️🐱… but if there’s food involved, the beanbag can wait! 😂🍗

He’s also a proper little mischief-maker and has a talent for keeping us on our toes! Whether he’s getting himself into trouble, demanding snacks or simply doing something that makes us laugh, Norman certainly knows how to keep us entertained. 😹

But underneath all that cheekiness is one very special boy who has completely stolen our hearts. ❤️

With demand for rescue space at an all time high (not just here but everywhere in the world) we are struggling to keep up 😢

We don't say no because we don't care, please remember that, we are human and have feelings. There are 3 of us voluntarily running QAWS (with jobs and families)💔

We have to say no sometimes, space, funds (no we are NOT government funded), resources in general limit what we can do.....getting angry with us, telling us it's our job and we have too, begging and saying a rescue will die if we don't help is taking a toll on us.😔

Believe us when we say if we could we would....please do your part too 🤷

Note: we are well supported by our community, near and far, and those that know us and follow us understand.....for that we are incredibly grateful 🙏

🎉🐾 Happy 1st Birthday to The Qattery! 🐾🎉

One year ago, we opened our doors with one simple goal – to give rescue cats a safe, loving home while creating a space where people could relax, enjoy great coffee, and experience the joy these incredible cats bring.

It hasn't always been easy. We've faced challenges, celebrated victories, and had plenty of emotional moments along the way. But every hurdle has been worth it when we see our cats thriving, growing in confidence, and receiving the love they truly deserve.

To everyone who has visited, supported us, donated, shared our posts, bought a coffee, or simply spent time with our rescue cats – thank you. Every single visit has helped us provide food, veterinary care, enrichment, and a second chance for cats who needed it most.

This first year has been about so much more than running a café. It's been about changing lives—both feline and human—and building an incredible community of people who care as deeply about animal welfare as we do.

From all of us, and especially from our wonderful rescue cats, thank you for being part of our journey. Here's to many more years of purrs, head bumps, happy memories, and giving rescue cats the future they deserve. ❤️🐱
