Game Fortnight commences today!

It’s officially game season, and we’ve got a cracking selection of seasonal dishes we can’t wait for you to try!

Adam and the kitchen team have been hard at work curating a menu that celebrates the very best of game, featuring dishes such as pan-fried partridge, pheasant and tarragon fa**ot, and venison loin. Wildly good food, if we do say so ourselves!

And what’s game without a little w**e? We’ve hand-picked the perfect pairings to complement your dishes, from creamy whites to bold, spicy reds.

So, whether you’re a seasoned game enthusiast or looking to try something a little different, we’ve got your table waiting.

Tomorrow's Dog Walk - Cancelled

In the wake of Storm Austen, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow's pub walk.

But, if you do find yourself blown off course and into our carpark... Come on in, the fires will be on, we have coffee and cake (we have it on good authority from our taste testers that this week's cake is REALLY delicious) from 10.30am and food served from 12noon

Our pub walk will be back next month on Saturday 21st November

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Cheese and W**e night with special guests Martin and Jane from Pattingham Vineyard showcasing their w**es and cheese pairings from Chef Toby.

As our W**e and Cheese night fast approaches this Friday - we’re delighted to showcase one of our most-loved red w**es, Rudge Heath 2023, Divico, from our very own local Pattingham Vineyard.

A full-bodied red with a deep, rich colour and distinctive black cherry notes, delicately matured in French oak barrels to create a beautifully balanced w**e.

This elegant red is the perfect accompaniment to our Sunday roasts, weekday steaks and hearty game dishes.

Meet the staff!

This is Emma, a face you will more than likely recognise! Emma first joined our Front of House crew five years ago, and after a spell as a meditation manager, realised how much she missed the Inn! ( took you long enough 😉 ) She’s recently rejoined the team as our Assistant Manager.

Emma is really lighting up the pub, she has a real passion for people and is always there to take care of our customers and team.

She’s a die-hard Oasis fan and always has been, when she’s not at work, you’d usually see her at home with her three children and husband Mike.

She also has classy taste in w**e! 🥂

Game fortnight is fast approaching, and it’s only of our favourite times of the year!

We also decided that one week wasn’t enough so this year we’ll be celebrating for two weeks! Adam and the team have put together a selection of seasonal dishes, just right for this time of year when the scarves are out, the fires are lit and autumn is in full swing!

This will be running from Monday 26th October to Saturday 7th November and will be on alongside our daily menu, so nobody will be missing out!
