It is Loneliness Awareness week.

In our country millions of people feel lonely occasionally, sometimes or often. At FBC we love connection and community and this week we will be sharing ways to increase our connections with others. If you would like to connect more with others, why not try our Friendship Table every Tuesday morning at 10 am in the FBC cafe. Everyone is welcome to come along for a chat.

(Can’t get to FBC? There are also loads of Friendship Tables across Wokingham Friendship Alliance — https://www.linkvisiting.org/friendship-alliance)

Someone once said that volunteers are not paid because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. And how true is that!

Do let us know if you would like to join the absolutely priceless volunteer team here at the FBC centre. A few hours welcoming people at Reception or the odd task here and there around the Centre to help us keep it all shipshape - we welcome it all with since gratitude!

The Friendship Table celebrated 5 years of meeting, chatting, laughing and making friends this week. It was lovely to see so many people there (but there's still always space for more people to join!) and the cake from the FBC cafe team was delicious!!
