A firm favourite at our sister pubs, Joe brings an incredible mix of acoustic favourites, timeless classics, and all the feel-good singalong hits you know and love. 🎸

Our Summer Duck Hunt is still on at The Black Buoy! 🦆☀️

If you’re looking for something to keep the little ones entertained during the summer holidays, our beer garden is full of hidden yellow ducks waiting to be spotted! 👀

✨ A little reminder… The yellow ducks are part of the hunt and should be left where they are so everyone can enjoy taking part. Please don’t remove them or bring them to the bar.

🏆 We’ve also hidden 5 GOLD ducks around the garden! If your child is lucky enough to find one of those, bring it to the bar to claim a tasty chocolate treat! 🍫

While the kids are busy hunting, why not relax with a drink and let Team Smashed take care of dinner? They’ve got their amazing burgers on the menu, including children’s meals, making it the perfect family day out. Serving Tuesday-Sunday every week 😉

Rat Pack Night at The Black Buoy! 🎷✨

A huge thank you to the brilliant Tony James for an incredible evening of live music. From Frank Sinatra classics to all the timeless Rat Pack favourites, the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish. 🍸

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces (and a few new ones too!) singing along, enjoying a drink and making it such a memorable night. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it so special. 🫶🏼

New for August, we’re introducing our FREE Chilled Ibiza Jukebox Sessions! Think laid-back Ibiza classics playing all day, great company, and holiday vibes without leaving Wivenhoe. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a relaxing summer afternoon. 🍹

We’re also incredibly proud to be hosting our first ever Farleigh Hospice Quiz Night this month. Join us for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and help us raise money for a fantastic local charity. ❤️

And of course, we’re ending the month in style with a Bank Holiday Weekend packed with live entertainment, including the return of the ever-popular DJ Baz for an all-day party on Sunday! 🎉

What a weekend of live music at The Black Buoy! 🎶☀️

A huge thank you to Funksoulstation for bringing the energy on Saturday night with an incredible set that had our beer garden buzzing! 🕺🏻

Then on Sunday, Lee & Cookie provided the perfect soundtrack to a sunny afternoon, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🕶️

A massive thank you to both acts for two fantastic performances - we loved having you, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming you back soon! 🎸✨

Introducing Si Connelly! 🎸

We’re delighted to welcome the incredibly talented Si Connelly to The Black Buoy for an afternoon of live music on Sunday 2nd August from 5pm.

If you haven’t discovered Si yet, you’re in for a treat. A gifted singer-songwriter and touring musician, Si has built an impressive career both on stage and behind the scenes. Alongside releasing his own music, he’s written for artists including Stevie McCrorie, Guvna B and Vince Freeman, collaborated with Annie Lennox, Boyzone and Westlife, and composed music for television and film.

So, gather your friends, grab a drink, and join us for a fantastic evening of live music at The Black Buoy. What better way to round off your weekend? ☀️🍻🎶

Looking for something to keep the little ones entertained over the summer holidays? We’ve hidden lots of yellow ducks all around our beer garden for children to spot while you sit back, relax and enjoy a well-earned break! 🍻

Keep your eyes peeled though… we’ve also hidden 5 GOLD ducks! If your child finds one, bring it to the bar and they’ll receive a little chocolate treat as a prize! 🍫

🍔 Why not make a meal of it too? Team Smashed are serving up their delicious burgers, including children’s meals, so the whole family is sorted.
