Unfortunately, in the early hours of this morning at approximately 1:20am, The Black Buoy was targeted in yet another attempted break-in.
This now makes one successful break-in and two further attempted break-ins at our pub in just the last few months.
Sadly, we weren’t the only local pub targeted last night. The Rose & Crown was also successfully broken into, and given the timing and circumstances, we believe the incidents may be connected.
📸 The first photo is CCTV from The Black Buoy, showing the individual involved in the attempted break-in at our premises.
📸 The second photo, showing the individual with the bike, is a CCTV image provided by The Rose & Crown following their break-in.
For transparency, we have included the original CCTV images alongside AI-enhanced interpretations. The enhanced images may contain inferred details and should be viewed alongside the originals.
We are offering a £1,000 REWARD for information that identifies the individual responsible for the attempted break-in at The Black Buoy and directly leads to a conviction.
If you recognise either individual, or have any information that may help the police with either incident, please contact us privately or contact the police. We would ask that people do not post names or accusations publicly in the comments.
After being targeted repeatedly in such a short space of time, enough is enough. We want to do everything we can to help put a stop to this - for ourselves, The Rose & Crown and all the other local businesses who shouldn’t have to deal with this.
