🍻 Pints, muddy boots, and an incredible cause! 🥾

We are absolutely thrilled to have sponsored AND taken part in yesterday’s Charity B**r Walk alongside the fantastic folks at The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon.

The walkers started with a bacon sarnie with our friends at The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley and then ploughed through an 11-mile trek that kicked off with some truly ropey Exmoor weather 🌧️. But once the skies finally cleared, it was all worth it! We powered through with great snacks, top-tier hiking banter, and a well-deserved pint (or two) to soothe the sore feet at the finish line. 🍺🥪

Most importantly, we had a brilliant time coming together to raise vital funds for the amazing Exmoor Search & Rescue Team 🧗‍♂️🙌

A massive WELL DONE to everyone who braved the elements and walked with us. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

🍺🥾 LYNTON & LYNMOUTH CHARITY B**R WALK – PARTICIPANT INFO

Taking part on Saturday 3rd October? Here’s what you need to know!

🥾 11 MILE WALK
📍 Starts at The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley
⏰ 9.30am start
🥓 Breakfast baps £5 + pints available for anyone wanting to fuel up before setting off!

🥾 5.5 MILE WALK
📍 Starts at The Valley of Rocks
⏰ 12pm start

🍻 ALONG THE WAY

You’ll be stopping at The Crown Hotel, the Rockhouse Lynmouth and finishing at The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon , plus there’ll be two complimentary b**r stops along the route sponsored by Black Bear Brewery and Otter Brewery

And despite the name, the b**r is completely optional! If you just fancy a great walk across Exmoor while raising money for a brilliant cause, you’re more than welcome to join us without having a single pint.

Every participant will receive a wristband, so keep it on throughout the day to access the B**r Walk offers at participating pubs.

🦺 KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE

We’ll have route marshals at key points and back walkers bringing up the rear.

You’ll also spot walkers wearing high-vis along the route – they’re part of our Safety Team too, so if you need help, have a question or just want to check you’re heading the right way, give them a shout.

There will be designated pick-up points along the route if anyone needs to stop walking, plus a Safety Team WhatsApp contact which will be shared with participants on the day.

Please stick to the marked route, listen to the marshals, walk within your limits and let one of the team know if you’re having any problems.

🌦️ COME PREPARED

Wear sensible footwear, dress for whatever Exmoor decides to throw at us and bring water with you. If you are drinking along the way, please pace yourself.

💰 ALL FOR EXMOOR SEARCH & RESCUE

We suggest a £10 donation per participant, but we’d love to raise as much as possible. Sponsorship from friends and family is very welcome too!

Donations can be made through our JustGiving page or in the collection tins on the day.

Very pleased to be featured on the taps at The Swan, Bampton!

What's on the pumps.

Sandford Orchards Devon Red, made in Crediton, twenty minutes down the valley. Harbour l***r and session IPA from Cornwall. Korev, Cornish too. Black Bear ales and b**rs ten minutes down the road. Every drink in the house is British, and the ones we can source from this side of the Tamar, we do.

Bar from 5pm. Tell Jack what we're missing.

If you're around Carhampton this weekend, get down to the Butcher's Arms Carhampton and support this excellent music festival!

Nick and team have worked tirelessly to make this pub something special for the community, and we're delighted to support him keep doing that.

Get down there, buy a pint, grab a bite to eat and enjoy some tunes!

We're delighted and proud to announce that we'll be on the taps just down the road at the beautiful Swan, Bampton when they reopen on 14th September.

Jane, Luke and the team have been pulling out all the stops to get it ready for this wonderful community, and we can happily say, having had a sneak preview, it looks amazing, and the food is gonna be ace. People of Bampton, you're in for a treat!

Looking forward to having our locally brewed ales in Bampton for the first time, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this iconic venue!

The Swan has new keepers, and we open on Monday 14 September at 5pm. From then on we're open every day.

Monday to Wednesday, 5pm to 11pm, bar only.
Thursday and Friday, 12pm to 11pm.
Saturday, 9am to 11pm, brunch first, food all day.
Sunday, 9am to 6pm, roast till 4.30pm.
