Went to Little Ox Brewery to collect a barrel of this little beauty for The White Hart…

At 6.5%, apparently I only had to look at it before I started behaving like this. 😂😂

Ditto!

A bit of a proud but very sad post from me today ❤️

Two of our lovely Red Lion/White Hart team are heading off on exciting new career adventures.

Maisie is starting her new career as a Teaching Assistant, and Ellen is heading into Radiology with the NHS. I’m incredibly proud of them both, although I’m going to miss them immensely!

They’ve both been with me since they were young and have brought an awful lot of fun, laughter and general craziness to the pubs over the years 😂❤️

Maisie especially has quite literally grown up with us. She started her very first job with me almost the day she turned 16 – although she’d been trying to persuade me to employ her since she was 15 and I kept telling her she was too young! 😂

Maisie’s last shifts are today and tomorrow lunchtime, so if you’re around, please pop into the Red Lion and see her before she goes. Ellen will still be with us for another few weeks, so there’s a little more time to say goodbye to her.

I’m going to miss having these two around more than they probably realise, but I’m so excited to see what comes next for them.

We are bringing Oktoberfest to the lovely White Hart!

Think daytime traditional music, beautiful Bavarian beers, 2 pint steins, lederhosen, roaring real fires, sausages galore and our loveable local Melting Pot DJs Rich and Deadly spinning German party anthems into the evening!
