Open today from 4pm.
5 beautifully clear, 13°c cask ales on.
1 cold keg beer, 3 lagers, 2 ciders, and good old Guinness. Plus a good selection of wines and possibly the biggest range of gin, rum and whisky in town.

We also do a lot of alcohol free drinks.

But most importantly, it’s a pub. And that’s always a good place to be mid week for a chat with your mates or even one of us.

Go for a stroll and swing in, it’d be great to see you.

We’re absolutely thrilled to inform you that our Monthly OPEN MIC night is on tomorrow..(the first Sunday of the month) as usual. And this month is hosted by the absolutely fantastic RHIANNON FITZGERALD Rhiannon Fitzgerald

Absolutely everyone is welcome.
Come along, sing along, just listen and enjoy the atmosphere, or perform yourself if you’d like to. There’s a free drink for each performer.

But, if you love live music, you’ll have a great time.

He’s in.! Happy 88th Birthday TREVOR…!
It’s always a joy to see and serve him and we love posting our annual photo on this special day.
Trevor is such an inspiration for how to live a good life. Walks down to town each day and enjoys a pint of real ale in a few pubs.

We love our chats with him and though I’m not working here today, I simply had to pop in on my way to Lil’s to buy him a pint and give him his card.

Very Happy Birthday Trevor, you genuine gentleman.

We’re open right now. And tomorrow (Thursday) we’re opening especially early at 12pm to celebrate the life of our friend/regular, Mr Dave Axtell, who sadly passed away on Sunday 5th July and who’s funeral is at South Oxford crematorium in the morning.

If anyone would like to join us in raising a pint to this well known, lovely fella who enjoyed his last pint of Hooky here on Saturday the 4th, you’re very welcome.
