Two days, two venues and one very special wedding celebration.
It is always a huge privilege to cook for someone’s wedding, but this one felt particularly special. We have loved getting to know Abi and Geoff over the past 15 months while they’ve been planning their weekend, and we genuinely wanted every detail to be just right for them.
The celebrations began at Tree Top Escape with their intimate family wedding: canapés, a bespoke three-course dinner and quite possibly the largest cheeseboard we have ever created much of which is now apparently residing in the father of the bride’s fridge!🤣
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. It was a wonderful day, filled with warmth, laughter and genuinely lovely people.
Then it was back into the kitchen at 6am the following morning to prepare for 150 guests aboard MS Oldenburg at Bideford Quay. Delivering 1,250 canapés on a working ship, while navigating the wind, moving guests and the occasional flying ch*****ne flute, certainly kept us on our toes. Once we found our rhythm, the whole team came together brilliantly.
Abi and Geoff were an absolute joy to work with. Across both days, they made everyone feel appreciated and valued and that kind of warmth makes you want to raise the bar even higher. Abi mentions the importance of clear communication in her review and we couldn’t agree more. It’s always at the centre of everything we do.
I could not be prouder of Team LPB. Aimee, Kelly and our gorgeous Mandy worked with such skill, calmness and good humour. Everyone gave their absolute all, supported one another and helped create something truly memorable.
We did it and what a weekend it was. 🥂
