Hole in t wall in Bowness-on-Windermere is one of Britain's finest country pubs!
It was built in 1612 and it has a fantastic olde worlde interior which was enhanced in the mid 20th Century but it does look like a Victorian rural time warp with all the fittings, furniture, ornaments and stuffed animal heads.
They have a few Robinson's ales at the bar and the food here is decent too.
