It’s one whole year since we first opened our yellow door - and what a year it’s been! 💛

When we started Rainbow Bay, we had a big idea, lots of excitement… and probably no idea quite how much could happen in our first year!

So, as we celebrate our 1st birthday this week, we’ve been looking back at just how far we’ve come. In 12 months, we have:

🏠 Brought a local retail unit back to life
We’ve loved watching our little shop become part of Whitley Bay high street again and seeing so many of you walk through our yellow door.

👣 Fitted thousands of little feet
From first shoes to school shoes, trainers and everything in between - we’ve been trusted with so many little feet this year, and we’ve loved every minute of it!

💛 Given back to our wonderful community
Where we can, we’ve supported the people and organisations that make our local community so special - including school PTAs, local Scout groups and the Whitley Bay Sandcastle Competition.

👟 Grown our team
What started as a little idea has grown into a team of 6 amazing local staff members. We’re so proud of the lovely team we’ve built!

🌈 Built a little Rainbow Bay community
What started as a shop has become so much more than that. We’ve watched families come back time and time again, fitted siblings, celebrated first shoes, school shoes and everything in between, and built relationships with so many wonderful local families along the way.

And honestly… we couldn’t have done any of it without you. 🌈

Every fitting, every pair of shoes, every recommendation to a friend, every lovely message, review and social media follow has helped us get to this point.

So, to say a HUGE thank you, we’re celebrating our first birthday with a little competition! 🎉
