With a heavy heart, today Leo’s closes its doors.
Nearly 14 years ago, what started as a little dream between husband and wife grew into something so much bigger, a community. From our very first Tapas nights, to afternoon teas, to those of you who just popped in for a coffee or a bite to eat, every single visit has meant the world to us.
We never imagined we would make it past the first six months, yet here we are almost 14 years later. In that time, two new generations of our family have grown up eating here, a full circle moment that makes this goodbye feel both bittersweet and complete.
Leo’s has always been built on love, not just ours, but yours too. Your loyalty, laughter, and kindness have filled these walls, and we are endlessly grateful for each and every one of you.
As we step away, we are proud to hand over the café to another family who we know will continue to share their passion and care with the Seaton Delaval community. We hope you will show them the same warmth and support you have shown us over the years.
And for all you cake lovers, do not worry. Angela’s cakes will still be available for your special occasions, with baking and deliveries continuing as usual.
