4 proper real ales are now available ready for all you to get down ya necks! So keep out the rain and away from any of that round shaped ball nonsense and come and enjoy The Quirky!

Our 2 pale options this week are both from Ossett Brewery. White Rat probably one of there most famous beers. This perfect 4% very hoppy session pale is always a winner but will it be this week?

It’s competition…. Ossett Brewery’s monthly special - Tripple Hop 5. With its cascade, topaz and mosaic hops this hoppy, slight fruity tasting dry hopped pale will give the famous White Rat a run for its money!

Or maybe you want to try on of our two darker ales this week. First option is the legendary Theakston Brewery Old Peculier from the wood. This beer writes its own reputation then placed in hand crafted oak barrels from Euan the cooper. With rich tasting notes of dark warm malt and fruity notes of cherry and banana. This legendary beer at 5.6% is definitely one to be enjoyed.

However, Theakstons Brewery and Roosters Brewery have collaborated together to bring traditional brewing styles with a modern twist combining the best of Old Peculier and Baby Faced Assassin. It’s dark red in colour with the forward malty taste of Old Peculier but then that beautiful fruity hoppy notes come through from the Baby Faced assassin!

Try our Hawkstone cider on draught. This cold refreshing 5% cider backs British farming using local fresh pressed juicy apples to create a medium dry full of flavour and character! And yes before you ask… Hawkstone is Jeremy Clarkson’s.

Or alternatively try our rotating boxed ciders from Lilley's Cider! With a great selection of apple, Perry or sweet ciders what’s not to love from this Somerset cider experts!

The perfect combo for a night of riffs, rum and pure rock ‘n’ roll has now arrived here at The Quirky!

Now available is the Overkill pilsner! At 4.3% this cold, crisp and loud as hell pilsner. Just like Lemmy it’s a no nonsense perfect refreshing drink.

This then pairs brilliantly with the exceptional Motörhead dark, bold and full of raw attitude Rum!! This 8 year old blended Dominican Republic reserve rum is aged in ex bourbon barrels to give that smooth finish. Perfect over ice or paired well with a mixer of your choice it doesn’t matter as long as you are head banging to the greatness of Motörhead!!

Whether you’re raising a glass to Lemmy or just want a proper heavy drink with heavy music, get yourself down.

Good afternoon from The Quirky,

Some new beers and cider’s available this week as well as an old favourite.

Boxed cider… we have 3 flavours of the brilliant Lilley's Cider. We have some Strawberry 🍓 4%, fruity and minty Raspberry Mojito 3.4% and a slightly strong but delicious none the less Beesting 6.8%!

Cask ales available…. Brand new is the Bradfield Brewery Nettle Nectar 3.9% (smooth with a dry hope finish), Bradfield Farmers Pale 5% (simply refreshing slightly citrus, hopped pale), Theakston Brewery Barista Stout 4.2% (does what it says on the tin, heavy coffee notes but slightly sweet. Like an espresso martini in a pint glass), finally the legend that is Old Peculier from the wood 5.%!
