Welcome to our family-run 1950s-inspired tearoom in the heart of Westward Ho! We are a 1950's themed retro Tea Room situated in the centre of Westward Ho!.

Well known for homemade cakes, cream teas, freshly prepared lunches and delicious drinks, all served with a warm welcome. We serve up a generous selection of homemade cakes and yummy treats including many gluten free options, lots of delicious light lunches and the biggest and best cream tea in North Devon, or so we've been told! Our most popular cake in 20 seconds.

If only it actually took 20 seconds to make!

Four layers of rich chocolate sponge, sandwiched and covered with silky milk chocolate ganache and finished with plenty of Maltesers.

Our Chocolate Malteser Cake has been one of our biggest sellers for years and, however many new flavours we come up with, you lot still keep coming back to this one.

So here it is, from four rather plain-looking chocolate sponges to the finished cake in just 20 seconds. A little behind-the-scenes look at how one of our Tea on the Green favourites comes together.

Saturday choices…

Some decisions are harder than others.

Today in the cabinet we’ve got three serious contenders…

Nutella Biscoff & Twirl Cookie Stack – layers of cookie, Biscoff, Nutella and chocolate, and stuffed with twirl.

Kinder Brownie Tart – our rich triple chocolate brownie topped with a silky Kinder layer, finished with a marbled chocolate topping.

Oreo Cookie Pie – cookies and cream filling, whole Oreos eggs, chocolate and topped with an Oreo.

So… if you could only pick one…

Friday = Bun Day

We’re a little later posting this morning because these were still far too warm to pull apart!

We’ve been experimenting in the kitchen and this is today’s result — proper Tea on the Green sized cinnamon buns, freshly baked this morning and absolutely dripping in cream cheese frosting.

And honestly, it’s a pity Facebook hasn’t invented smell-o-vision yet because the kitchen smells ridiculous.

They’re available today while they last, and this is very much their first proper outing, so we’ll be interested to hear what you think.

You were braver than we expected!

When we put our new White Chocolate, Vanilla & Ube Cheesecake into the cabinet yesterday, we honestly weren’t sure what you would make of it.

Ube is a purple yam often used in Filipino desserts, with a gentle, slightly nutty flavour that works beautifully with creamy vanilla and white chocolate.

We thought it might take a little explaining, but quite a few slices disappeared on its first day, so clearly you were feeling adventurous!

For those who prefer something a little more familiar, we also have our Peaches & Cream Sponge: soft vanilla sponge filled and topped with fresh cream and peaches.

Brownie lovers… this one’s for you!

Our Signature Triple Chocolate Brownie has been joined by three seriously indulgent friends…

Signature Triple Chocolate Brownie – rich, fudgy and topped with a drizzle of chocolate.

Chocolate Salted Caramel Cornflake Brownie – topped with a thick layer of gooey chocolate salted caramel cornflake.

Cookie Dough Brownie – our signature triple chocolate brownie topped with edible cookie dough and finished with rich dark chocolate fudge icing.

Kinder Brownie Caramel Bar – They’re back! After our first test batch sold out in a single day, you’ve been asking for them ever since. Our signature triple chocolate brownie, topped with a creamy Kinder layer and caramel, then coated in milk chocolate and finished with a Kinder bar. What’s not to love?

We thought it was about time the team had some new T-shirts!

The original plan was to have everyone facing the camera… but apparently nobody wanted to be famous! 🤣

So instead, they lined up along our new railings and we think it turned out even better.
