🎂✨ I AM TERRIBLE AT REMEMBERING TO SHARE MY CELEBRATION CAKES! ✨🎂

You’d be forgiven for thinking I spend my entire existence surrounded by brownies, millionaire’s shortbread and enough flapjack to construct a small extension. 🤣

But YES, I do still make celebration cakes! ❤️

I take them on whenever I have availability, and I genuinely love being trusted to bake something for your special days. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, completely inappropriate milestone cakes............

Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Here are a couple of celebration cakes I've made recently 😍🎂

🌸 A beautifully simple and elegant silver wedding anniversary cake, covered in delicate white flowers, silver details and handmade decoration.

🌈 And at the slightly less subtle end of the spectrum... a gloriously colourful 40th birthday cake, complete with buttercream roses, ALL the sprinkles and a birthday girl who appears to have dramatically launched herself directly out of the cake. 😂

I absolutely love that no two celebration cakes are ever the same. ❤️

👋 HEYA FOLKS!! IM BACK WITH FRESH BAKES AGAIN TOMORROW ❤️😍

Sorry for the radio silence and the suspicious lack of cake appearing on your feeds over the last few days! 🍰👀

I was struck down by whatever weird illness seems to be doing the rounds at the moment and, quite honestly, it completely knocked me out! 🤧😴

However, apparently leaving me poorly on the sofa with access to the internet is a TERRIBLE idea, because I've somehow emerged from this illness with approximately 47 new interests and obsessions. 🤣🤣🤣

First up...

🧱 COMPETITIVE TETRIS.

Yes. Tetris.

I've become slightly obsessed with the Tetris World Championships and have gone from knowing absolutely nothing beyond "make the blocks fit" to learning about DAS, hypertapping, techniques, strategies and watching people stack blocks at speeds my 38-year-old brain simply wasn't designed to process. 😂

I had absolutely NO IDEA competitive Tetris could be this interesting!

Then there's been...

⚔️ SKYRIM.

Except apparently playing Skyrim normally wasn't enough.

No.

I discovered that I could have a bloody KALLAX UNIT AS A COMPANION. 🤣🤣🤣

So naturally I spent several hours adventuring across Skyrim with an IKEA storage unit following me around, complete with absolutely ridiculous voice acting.

I regret nothing.

📚 THEN THE DUNGEONS & DRAGONS BOOKS ARRIVED...

And sweet baby Jesus, they're BEAUTIFUL. 😍

So I've now entered my Dungeons & Dragons lore phase, because apparently my brain looked at all the other hobbies I already have and decided there was still a dangerously small amount of fantasy nonsense occupying it. 🤣

And finally...

⚙️ MY BABY ADEPTUS MECHANICUS ARMY.

I said I was just going to buy one model a week and slowly build my Warhammer 40K army?

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

That went well. 🤣🤣🤣

I've been incredibly naughty and acquired several new additions for my tiny mechanical murder cult.

And before anyone gets carried away, NO, I have absolutely no intention of building and painting them myself.

That's what having a husband and daughter is for. 🤣

I buy the tiny plastic mechanical weirdos.

They provide the labour.

It's a perfectly functioning family ecosystem. 😂

So, to summarise my few days off:

🤧 Got ill.
🧱 Became weirdly knowledgeable about competitive Tetris.
⚔️ Went adventuring with an IKEA Kallax unit.
📚 Fell headfirst into Dungeons & Dragons lore.
