WHY WE DO IT - EP. 2: Why we only serve local pints
When we started Green Room, supporting local businesses and playing an active role in the Leeds community were at the heart of everything we wanted to build. Naturally, that had to be reflected in the drinks we serve too.
The original plan was to offer a few rotating local beers. But after meeting the brilliant people behind the breweries here in Leeds and across Yorkshire, we knew we wanted to take it one step further.
Even having just one big-name brand in the mix could take sales away from the independents. We want our local breweries to get the most from every pint we pour, so we made the decision to give them every tap.
We’re incredibly lucky to have so many amazing beers brewed right on our doorstep, so why would we look anywhere else?
