I have something a bit different on the go today, I always make chocolates for friends and family at Christmas time and I'm trying to get it all sorted before the Christmas holidays start (early at our school on 8th December). This year for my birthday I asked for a chocolate mould to try and make them look a little more professional as my round ones are a bit samey and dull. The moulds are trickier than I expected. I've managed gingerbread truffles in white (but they're far from perfect!) And today is salted caramel fudge in dark chocolate. Shells currently cooling ready to be filled .... If they come out ok! I don't normally bother tempering the chocolate so let's hope this year's batch is worth the efforts going in I'll keep you posted. My kitchen is such a mess right now!

Here is a pic of the ones I did the other day when still in the mould. I'll post a pic of today's when they're finished!

A princess turns 5. This was a white chocolate themed cake: light and fluffy white chocolate sponge, filled with creamy white chocolate buttercream and smothered in a white chocolate ganache before being encased in fondant. Obviously this had to be finished with her favourite character and a sparkly golden crown. Fit for a princess!

Flashback this morning to making this little guy. It's been a while since I watch 'igpiggle' when my daughter loves it, I wonder how long it'll be before my little man gets into TV. Zero interest so far but he is only 8 months so 🤷‍♀️
