A very special see you soon to 🥹 Sam has now officially started her maternity leave as she gets ready for her biggest and most important chapter yet.

As our People Manager and Ihsan’s 1st Assistant, Sam has been such a big part of our restaurant, supporting our team, in shaping the culture, looking after our people and helping so many grow along the way at McDonald’s Warwick. Her dedication and care for others never goes unnoticed.

Now, it’s time for Sam to focus on a very special new chapter as she gets ready to welcome another little one to the family.

Whilst we already miss seeing her around day in and day out, we couldn’t be happier for her and her family. 💛

From your whole People Arches family - thank you for everything, Sam. We’re wishing nothing but plenty of joyful and special moments filled with the happiness over the months ahead.

We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to welcome you back when the time is right. We’ll see you soon, Sam!

Lots of love,
Your People Arches family 💛

On Monday evening, Dawood represented People Arches and the McDonald’s community at a roundtable with Huw Pill, Chief Economist at , alongside Corin Crane, CEO AT and regional business leaders.

The discussion focused on what the current economic climate feels like on the ground, particularly for hospitality operators.

Across the UK, McDonald’s operates more than 1,500 restaurants, serves close to 3 million customers daily and, together with franchisees, employs nearly 160,000 people - around 70% of them under 24 and many in their first job. It’s a sector that continues to invest and create opportunities, but conditions matter.

Around the table, Dawood shared what many operators are experiencing: restaurants remain busy and teams continue to deliver at pace, yet rising labour, energy and operational costs mean decisions around hiring and expansion are being made more carefully. The sector is resilient and adaptable, but realistic.

For us, it always comes back to people - investing in our workforce, creating opportunities and supporting young people into employment.

We’re grateful to Huw Pill and Corin Crane for the opportunity to contribute to an open and constructive discussion.

Since May 2025, we have been supporting the Safe Haven service in Warwick. What began in our car park has grown into a permanent base at Warwick Sports Club, which we are proud to sponsor, where free, confidential, out-of-hours mental health support is available every Thursday from 6pm to 11pm.

We joined Cllr Jackie D’Arcy at Warwick Sports Club to meet the Coventry and Warwickshire Safe Haven team, alongside Toby Arnold, Chair of Warwick Sports Club, and Steve Drummond, Treasurer.

It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the progress made, discuss the community impact and highlight the importance of accessible local support like Safe Haven for those who need it most.

Community partnership is a responsibility we take seriously. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that create lasting, meaningful impact. Thank you to the practitioners for the dedication and care they bring each week in supporting our community.

If you, or someone you know, needs someone to talk to, CW Safe Haven is here:

🗓 Every Thursday from 18:00 to 23:00
