Hi everyone 👋

I just wanted to introduce ourselves to those who may not know us yet.

I’m Maria, founder and head gelato maker at The Scoop Company. What started as a small dream in our little Warlingham parlour has grown into our second home in Oxted and honestly, the support we’ve received over the last few days has completely blown us away.

We’re a family-run business, and every single gelato flavour is made fresh by hand by me and the team in our Gelato Lab. From our award-winning favourites to our newest creations, every flavour has a little bit of love, creativity and (usually!) a lot of late nights behind it.

This weekend alone we served over 4,000 scoops, met hundreds of new faces, and created memories with so many families. Seeing children’s eyes light up when they walk through our doors has reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Whether you’re looking for an after-school treat, a family day out, a coffee with a friend, or simply somewhere a little magical to escape for 20 minutes we’d love to welcome you.

And if you do visit this week, you might even catch me through the glass making your next favourite flavour… 👀🍦

✨ What a weekend. What a launch. ✨

And to think… this was only supposed to be our soft launch.

Our downstairs seating isn’t even open yet, and somehow Oxted was absolutely buzzing. It was busy, it was manic at times, there were queues, there were wait times… but do you know what? It was also absolutely magical. 💕

The patience, the kind words, the encouragement, the smiles on your faces, seeing families making memories together and hearing so many of you say “it was worth the wait” truly meant the world to us.

And can you believe it… we served over 4,000 scoops of gelato this weekend! 🍦🤯

Which means I have a lot of gelato to make this week! 😂

From Monday to Thursday, I’ll be back in the Gelato Lab creating fresh flavours with the team. So if you’ve ever wondered how our gelato is made, pop in and say hello you can watch the magic happen behind the glass and see what flavours we’re creating next. 👩‍🍳✨

I also want to say a special thank you to our wonderful Warlingham community. Seeing so many of our regular customers travel over to support us in Oxted genuinely touched our hearts.

And to the Oxted community thank you for welcoming us with open arms. It has been so lovely meeting so many new faces, and I know there are many more of you still to meet. We hope this little pink gelato parlour becomes a place where memories are made, celebrations are shared, and eventually a place you’ll call your regular little treat stop.

We are exhausted, emotional, incredibly grateful… and honestly just getting started.

🌸✨ A little trip down memory lane… ✨🌸

Here’s a video from the archives of me doing a store tour when we first opened our little Warlingham Scoop Company 💗🍨

It looks a little different now (we’ve changed and improved so much over the years!), but watching this back has made me so emotional.

Warlingham will always have the biggest piece of my heart. It was where I returned to work after becoming a mum. It was where I made mistakes, learned lessons, found my confidence, and taught myself how to make gelato from scratch.

It’s the little pink shop that grew into our Parlour of the Year 2025 🏆 and the place that made Scoop 2 possible.

Oxted may be our new chapter, but we would be nothing without our original little shop, our incredible Warlingham community, and every single person who supported us from day one.

I’m feeling so many emotions right now… proud, grateful, excited for the future, and a little emotional saying goodbye to this chapter of “just us.”

But what a beautiful journey it has been… and the best part is, we’re only just getting started 💗🌸🍨

Tomorrow we’ll finally be making the announcement you’ve all been waiting for… the date we’re planning to open our Surrey flagship in Oxted! 🎉🍨

This sneak peek is just the upstairs floor. Our downstairs space isn’t quite ready yet, but trust us… it’s coming soon and it’ll be worth the wait. 💖

As we stand here looking around, it’s hard not to feel a little emotional.

Three years ago, The Scoop Company was just a dream. Today, that dream has grown into something magical.

Then all that’s left to do is grab your favourite treat, find a seat beneath our beautiful cherry blossom tree, soak up the mood lighting, the atmosphere, the laughter, and create memories with the people you love. 🌸💕

Every wall, every flavour, every detail has been built with one thing in mind…

Hey everyone 👋🩷

A few of you noticed the Warlingham shop sign has started looking a little worse for wear lately 😭

Unfortunately it was originally installed without proper sealant, so the weather has slowly got the better of it… BUT don’t worry it’s being replaced THIS WEEK 🙌

And that’s not all…

✨ New outdoor seating is coming
✨ Our indoor seats are being fully reupholstered over summer
✨ Gorgeous luxury pink wipeable leather vibes incoming 👀

So watch this space 👀🍨🌸

Just because Oxted is shiny and new doesn’t mean we’re forgetting about Warlingham for one second.

After all… this is the home of the Gelato Parlour of the Year 2025 🏆🍦

Honestly, none of what we’re doing in Oxted would even be possible without the unbelievable support, loyalty and love from the Warlingham community over the last few years.

You lot backed us from day one.
You queued in the rain.
You brought your kids.
You told your friends.
You supported a small family business before anyone knew who we were.

And for that… we’ll always be grateful 🩷

OXTED… we owe you an update 🍨🌸

If we’re honest… we’re frustrated too 😂

We wanted half term.
Then half term weekend.
Then the 5th June.

But between builders, deliveries, machines, flooring, tiling, counters and the endless “just one more thing” moments… we’re not quite there yet.

The GOOD news?

The shop is finally starting to feel real now 🩷

This week alone:
✔️ Machines delivered
✔️ Flooring going down
✔️ Counter tiling underway
✔️ Pop-up weekend SOLD OUT both days within HOURS 🤯

And honestly… meeting so many of you already has made us even more excited to open properly.

The support, the messages, the queues, the people travelling over, the comments saying Oxted “needed something like this”…

It genuinely means the world to us.

We’re now aiming for some point NEXT WEEK, even if it begins as a soft launch while we finish the final touches 👀

AND… after the madness of last weekend… we may just have to pop up again this weekend 🍦

So keep your eyes peeled 👀
