❤️ A Little Piece of Knights Quest History ❤️
Today we received the most beautiful and thoughtful gift from Mr Ken, who kindly shared this incredible photograph of the pub — then known as the George & Dragon — believed to have been taken around 1912.
Just look at it. 🥹
This building has stood here for generations. It has witnessed so much — happiness, celebrations, laughter, friendships, good times and, undoubtedly, the occasional argument or two! 🍻
For decades upon decades, this pub has been part of the local community. It has served generations of people and has been here long before many of us were even around.
This place has stories.
If only these walls could talk… imagine the stories they could tell us. ❤️
Mr Ken’s thoughtful gift genuinely made my day. It reminded me that the Knights Quest isn’t just a pub — it’s a piece of local history.
I hope this photograph brings back memories for some of you. Perhaps you remember coming here with your parents, grandparents, friends, or have your own special memories from years gone by.
We would genuinely love to hear them.
The pub has had its difficult times and has gone through some rough patches, some of which were caused by circumstances outside of anyone’s control. But we believe this beautiful old pub deserves a chance to have its doors filled with laughter, conversation and memories again.
So, if you’ve been away for a while, come back and give us a chance. ❤️
And if you’ve never been in before, come and see us, spend some time here and make your own memories.
This pub has been standing here for generations.
Let’s give it the chance to continue being part of this community for many more years to come. 🍻❤️
And once again, thank you so much to Mr Ken for this beautiful piece of history.
