❤️ A LITTLE MESSAGE FROM US AT THE WALTON TAVERN ❤️
To all of our wonderful customers,
We wanted to take a moment to explain a change to our opening hours, and more importantly, to say thank you for all the support you continue to show us.
Running a small pub at the moment is becoming increasingly difficult. Like many businesses, we are facing rising costs across the board, and unfortunately, we simply aren’t getting enough custom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to cover the cost of opening — particularly the wages and ever-increasing electricity bills.
This is not a decision we have made lightly. The last thing we want to do is close our doors on these days. We love being here, seeing your faces, having a chat and being part of our local community.
We have even considered doing all of the shifts ourselves to keep the doors open, but as much as we love the pub, we also have five children at home who need their mum and dad. We need to make sure we have some time with them too, and that’s something we simply can’t overlook.
So, for now, we have made the difficult decision to close on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
We hope you’ll understand that this isn’t about wanting to be closed — it’s about making sure The Walton Tavern can continue to survive and hopefully thrive for many years to come.
We are still here, and we are still very much open for business and serving food on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and we would absolutely love to see you.
Every drink, every meal, every visit, every recommendation and every bit of support genuinely makes a difference to our little family business.
Thank you for understanding, thank you for supporting us, and thank you for helping us keep the doors of The Walton Tavern open.
