The face behind the bar 🍻😂

Macca… Carl… where do we even start?! 😂

5 years ago, and over a YEAR to train him behind the bar because, honestly, we weren’t sure there was any hope 🤣🤣

He went from partying on one side of the bar to suddenly having to serve people, be responsible and actually know what he was doing on the other side. Hmmmmm… how did that happen?! 😂

Well, fast forward 5 years and he’s now the best in the business (he can even multitask 👀)… SHHHHHH, don’t tell him I said that! 🤣

Whether he’s serving, setting tables, helping wherever he’s needed, or just making people feel welcome, Macca is always there with a smile and a bit of banter.

Friendly, welcoming, reliable and quite frankly… we’d be lost without him! ❤️

So here he is, the face behind the bar… Macca/Carl 🍻

The face behind the kitchen door 👩‍🍳😂

Hi, I’m Toni 😀 The face behind the kitchen door… although some of you might remember me as the face behind the bar!

I’m just a mum who decided to have a go at cooking and, quite honestly, I’ve learnt as I’ve gone along 😂 No fancy chef qualifications here… just lots of food, plenty of experimenting and the occasional “ohhh, that actually worked!” moment 🤣

One thing I really wanted to do was make as much of our menu gluten free as possible, and I’m proud to say we’re about 90% there! 🙌

Pretty much everything on our menu is homemade from scratch by me, apart from the chicken burger and fish fingers… because even I have to admit I can’t make absolutely EVERYTHING 😂

Not bad for a mum cook, eh? 😉

I genuinely LOVE my job and I love hearing what you think — good, bad or somewhere in between! Your feedback helps me improve and come up with even more things to chuck on the menu 😂❤️

So there you have it…

I was once the face behind the bar…
Now I’m the face behind the kitchen! 👩‍🍳

And yes… I’m usually covered in flour, gravy or something I can’t identify by the end of the day 🤣

Yes… before Facebook explodes, we’ve increased the price of 2 items on the menu. That’s it… just 2! 😂

We still genuinely believe we’re offering great value for money, and one thing you’ll never hear me say is, “I hope they leave hungry.”

In fact, one of my biggest fears is that someone leaves here still peckish… so I might have gone a bit overboard with the portion sizes! 🤣

The funniest complaint we’ve had so far?

“There was too much food!”

I’ll happily take that one all day long! 👍😂

So if you leave needing a lie down instead of raiding the biscuit tin when you get home… my job’s done. 😜
