🫘 Let’s Talk Beans

Beans are a staple of Mexican cuisine — simple, versatile, and full of depth. We use pinto beans, prepared the traditional way with care and patience. 🥰

They’re slow-cooked for around three hours, then transformed into a few different expressions: a classic lightly fried bean side with onion and salt 🧂, and our refried beans (frijoles refritos), made with olive oil 🫒 for a lighter, more inclusive approach while keeping all the flavour.

We also create a smoked, spiced version with chipotle chilli and hoja santa, giving a deeper, richer take on this humble ingredient.
