🎱 GAME 1 — DAN “THE WANNABE” ✅

Dan’s spent years desperately trying to convince everyone he’s a pool player.

Last night, for one glorious game, he actually managed it.

SEVEN-BALLED HIS OPPONENT. 😳

Absolutely wiped the floor with him.

Dan walked away looking like he’d just won the World Championship.

Calm down, Ronnie. It’s week one.

1–0 OAK.

🎱 GAME 2 — JESS “THE UNDERTAKER” ✅

Cool. Calm. Collected.

No hero shots. No drama.

Just tap… tap… tap…

Slowly buried her opponent one ball at a time.

Job done.

2–0 OAK.

Two games. Two wins.

We genuinely started wondering if we might have a decent team this year.

Then Carly stepped up.

🎱 GAME 3 — CARLY “THE POT DODGER” ❌

Shoulda.

Coulda.

Woulda.

Didn’t.

Carly spent most of the game carefully ensuring that every ball remained safely OUTSIDE the pockets.

Some people play positional pool.

Carly plays conservation pool.

No balls were harmed or potted during this performance.

🎱 GAME 4 — CRAIG “THE BARN DOOR” ❌

Somehow gets himself all the way down to the black.

One ball remaining.

Six pockets available.

Craig needed just one decent shot.

Unfortunately, he’d apparently used his yearly allowance getting that far.

Couldn’t hit a barn door if you painted a pocket on it.

🎱 GAME 5 — LINDSEY “THE WARM-UP WORLD CHAMPION” ❌

Practice was sensational.

Pots everywhere.

Confidence flying.

Looking dangerous.

Then the actual match started.

We’d like to report Lindsey missing.

Last seen approximately three minutes before her game began.

If found, please return her to the Royal Oak before next week’s fixture.

🎱 GAME 6 — DAMIEN “POND” ❌

Why Pond?

Because he’s certainly no Pierce. 😂

The younger Brosnan brother stepped up.

We were expecting 007.

What arrived was more Temu James Bond.

Pierce had a licence to kill.

Damien appeared to have a licence to miss.

NO TIME TO POT.

Coming soon to a pool hall near you.

🎱 GAME 7 — CRAIG “THE DOUBLE DISASTER” ❌

Yes.

CRAIG AGAIN.

After his first performance, the sensible thing would’ve been to hide his cue.

Instead, we gave him another game.

Maybe redemption?

Maybe a heroic comeback?

Maybe he’d learned from his mistakes?

Absolutely not.

LOST AGAIN.

Two games.

Two defeats.

Craig personally supplied Britannia with 40% of their entire score.

Their captain has apparently asked if he’s available for them next week.

Stick to the kitchen, Chef. 👨‍🍳

At least you’ve got a fighting chance of finding the black pepper.
