⭐️UPDATE 11.9.26⭐️
This is not the update i wanted to make. Sadly Clarice's condition deteriorated, we took her back to Archway and the decision was made to put her to sleep.
We are all absolutley gutted we couldnt save her and hope that who ever dumped her and the other guinea pig see this and understands how cruel it was to abandon them.

Clarice the guinea pig (named by the person who found her 🙂) has been to Archway Vets this morning.
Thank you to RSPCA Furness and Barrow Branch for covering the costs of this ❤️
Shes a little underweight and has sore eyes so shes been given some eye drops.
On arrival she was absolutely covered in fly eggs which thankfully hadn't hatched into maggots yet so Tilly groomed her, bathed her and shes been treated with ivermectin to kill any creepy crawlies.
Sadly we have been informed another guinea pig was found in the same area. Another female which was covered in maggots. Wendy who the piggy was taken to spent 4 hours getting the maggots off but sadly she passed away. Thank you Wendy for trying so hard to save her 😢
Please, if anyone knows who has dumped these piggies or if you are the owner and you have more please, please get in touch with us so we can help you. Please don't dump anymore where they will not survive. I will take them and we will get them better and find them great homes.
