The New Website 🌸🌼✨

Our fabulous Ruth has worked so so hard on overhauling the website. I created version one when we first opened and it was a bit of a rush job with everything else going on, with my very limited knowledge, if I say so myself 😂. Amazing Ruth has spent so much time making it flow beautifully, be more user friendly and overall just look a little more us!

Lots of tweaks and additions to come, but here’s a quick shout out for some of her work! Shes even done some crazy coding ‘stuff’ on there!!

I’m not quite sure where to begin, 🥹

The Picnic on the Green was beyond anything we could have asked for. 🧺

It’s been no secret we have had a bit of a tough time lately but words don’t quite describe both how grateful we are and how absolutely blown away we feel by the weekends event. 🌞

With just 10 of days notice hundreds and hundreds of you showed up!

We actually ran out of paninis, cakes and with 15 mins to go coffee because we just didn’t believe quite how many people would come along!! Maybe a lesson in believing in ourselves a little more 😅!

We always feel cheered on and supported by you all but to actually SEE you too makes everything that little bit more real!

A huge personal Thank you from me (Hannah);

Firstly, well done and thank you to the ladies who worked their absolute socks off having not made coffees or paninis in a few months!!

Secondly, to you all, for reinforcing that not all is lost and our little Coffee House is worth fighting for!

And thirdly to every single person who has helped us in this chapter along the way, my parents and partner, the team, the community and everyone in between, Sunday was a small celebration of resilience and I’m pretty sure we have a lot more where that came from! 💪

What a week it’s been 💪☕️!

Phase one ☝️ of works are well and truly underway.

This week we have seen the start of the ‘ emergency works’ as we approach 3 months since the crash, it’s taken a moment to get here but what a breath of fresh air it’s been (hole in wall pun intended 😂).

We are gutted about the amount that has been stripped out of the shop and the signage on the front BUT one step back two forward as they say!!

To see change and movement happen has been fantastic, along with the lovely builders we have had in! I’m slowly getting more and more tired of the negativity and arguments that have to occur everyday to fight for what we deserve when we never asked for any of this. But to know we are getting closer to the end goal is just amazing!

Most importantly we are so chuffed the traffic lights 🚦 have come down! A relief for you all I am sure!!

Here is to another week at The Coffee House Nutley, another week of laughs, smiles and some seriously great humans!

But lastly, THANK YOU to you blooming lovely lot, your unrivalled support and love still keeps us going and I think it might have you ranked as the best community in the universe 🫶😂!

A very exciting announcement- we shall be returning for one day in August with - Picnic On The Green - and we can’t blooming wait!!

We will be at the Nutley Village Green on Sunday 2nd 9am-1pm for all things The Coffee House Nutley!

We strongly encourage you to bring picnic rugs, footballs, outdoor games and A LOT of fun and smiles!!

Progress isn’t always obvious, sometimes it’s found in the little moments that remind you you’re heading in the right direction. ✨🌼

This week’s little moments that have felt really great… some, beautiful with you guys, some, building related, but all felt like little baby steps forward! 💪

If you have been following us since the crash (11 weeks ago) you know the journey hasn’t been fast nor has it been straightforward and this week feels the same, but these are the smiles that keep us going!

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for following our journey, cheering us on as you do so loudly (even through a keyboard) and telling us all of your lovely stories where you hear about the shop far and wide!!

One customer spoke to someone in France who knew about us!? Another, a random person on a golf course they met knew of us!! How cool!

Meet the Team behind The Coffee House ☕️

We thought it was about time we properly introduced The people who make The Coffee House what it is and we definitely saved the best introduction until last 👀

From the first coffee in the morning, to the last customer of the day, every coffee poured , every cake saved , every laugh, every idea and every busy weekend happens because of this amazing bunch. ❤️

The last few months haven’t been the easiest , but this team have shown up with positivity, resilience and plenty of laughter. I honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

But most importantly…

It’s been 2 months 🚛! Do you want to know what we have been up to?!?

The last couple of months have been an absolute mixture of emotions. There have been some really really tough days. But we wanted to show you exactly what we have been getting up to!

Some of it is a little bit exciting 🎉

Whilst trying to juggle and deal with everything going on, each email bringing more bad news after the next, we have been quietly working away to make The Coffee House even better!

We wanted to share this honest post about how hard it’s been the last few weeks because it’s really not been easy. BUT, every single message and comment and lovely kind word really has made us feel so so loved!

We are genuinely excited for what is to come from our little shop 🏠 🥐.

But really, who’s more excited for the alcohol license OR our super flashy new website and online ordering!?!

The Coffee House Day Out ❤️

Keep swiping for our favourite part of the day!!

Yesterday we swapped coffees and insurance stress for volunteering at the village fair, and it was one of those days that reminded us exactly why we love being part of this village (not that we needed it 🌷).

The best part by far? Seeing so many of you. ❤️ Every conversation, every wave across the field, every familiar face. Sometimes we forget just how many people we’ve met over the last year, and we’re so grateful that so many of you have become part of The Coffee House family.

What a week at The Coffee House, it’s been rollercoaster 🎢

Scroll to the end for the result…👀

It started off slow, stressful , and honestly exhausting. After 7 weeks of nothing happening, with no responsibility taken from either building or business insurance , we were feeling completely stuck

What kept us going was the overwhelming response to our previous reel , the messages , the support , the kindness ❤️ it truly meant everything to us.

By Thursday , after still hearing nothing , we hit our limit.

ENOUGH was ENOUGH….

Emails sent , chasing answers, pushing for progress…

Then Friday finally arrived , and with it, the news we had been waiting for … The Building insurance accepted liability 🥳

A huge turning point for The Coffee House ☕️

✅ Phase 1 building quote approved

✅ Building company instructed

✅ Traffic light removal on the horizon!

After weeks of stress, we can finally take a well deserved breath … and maybe even enjoy the World Cup ⚽️ is it coming home!?!?
