Great to see Mike's new workshop nearly up and running. Grand opening is Tuesday 2nd Jan but he is taking bookings now with 20% off all services booked before the end of Jan. The new workshop at the end of Powermill Lane is easy to get to with on site parking.

The Velo House tables and chairs

There has been incredible interest in our map tables and chairs and I ran out of time to organise selling them before we closed. Given the number of people who expressed an interest in buying some of our furniture i have decided to hold a blind auction by email. Please email [email protected] with what you would like to buy and how much you bid for those items. I am happy to take complete only bids ie you want everything or nothing or individual bids for items where you are happy for any of the items. The Vitra Hal Chair are genuine originals and can easily be cleaned to look like new.

Four years ago we set off on a journey to create a special place for cyclists to call home in Tunbridge Wells. It’s been a hell of a ride but sadly we have now reached the finish line. It’s time to pack up our wheels and move on to the next ride.
This has not been an easy decision but as nearly every advert ends these days, “When the fun stops, stop”.

We would like to thank all our staff past and present, without whom The Velo House would not have become the friendly homely place it is. It has been a privilege to work with them and to build a real community alongside them. That community wouldn’t be possible without our loyal customers who have made the past four years such a rewarding ride. Finally I would like to thank all the great brands we worked with in the bike shop, café and kitchen whose amazing products we have been proud to sell. Over the next few weeks we’ll make sure you know how you can still enjoy these brands without us.

Alas for every tailwind and downhill run there are pesky headwinds and steep hills on any ride, with our energy stores falling low it is time to take some time off the bike before bonking completely and recharge our batteries. From every early break a few counter attacks will emerge and we hope a new group of riders will emerge with a new home for cyclists in the area.

For those of you who have enjoyed the love and attention that Mike has shown your bikes at The Velo House there is good news. Mike will be setting up a new workshop focused on offering the same excellent attention to detail, friendly service and speedy turn around. More details of this new workshop will be coming soon along with some special offers for getting your bikes ready for the start of 2018.

Our last full day will be on Friday 22nd December 2017 with a shorter day of Saturday 23rd from 10-4pm for coffee, cakes and final offers on anything left in the shop and mementos of the venture.

The good news is that there are plenty of bargains in our closing sale with 25-60% off Bikes, wheels, helmets, shoes, parts and accessories. Have a look online or visit our shop to grab a pre-Xmas bargain.

Creating a home for cyclists was always our dream and we are delighted to have lived that for the past four years. It’s been great fun and we hope to see you out on the road in 2018.

So the Kinesis Tripster is ready to go! The bike has been built as a demo with the intention of showcasing just what is bike is capable of.
It features a DI2 1X groupset as well as the revolutionary Lauf carbon fibre suspension fork.
I've also added a KMC gold chain to added a bit of bling!
The bike is available for anyone to demo.
