Chef Dan has been busy getting the kitchen organised and ready for Thursday — the orders are in, the new oven goes in tomorrow, and we’re nearly ready to get cooking!

We’ve got plenty to tempt you on the menu, including Pulled Brisket & Smoked Cheddar Croquettes, Chicken Supreme, plus a selection of tasty bar snacks.

And don’t forget dessert… Homemade Panna Cotta and Chocolate Fondant are just a couple of the treats waiting for you.

We’re excited to announce that we are now taking provisional table bookings from next Thursday!

Our initial food service times will be:

Wednesday & Thursday
5pm – 8pm

Friday & Saturday
12pm – 2.30pm | 5pm – 8.30pm

Sunday
12pm – 5pm

These hours may be extended as we get up and running.

☀️ WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST QUIZ NIGHT! ☀️

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our first quiz night at The Rising Sun. The support you’ve shown us since reopening has been absolutely incredible, and it was fantastic to see the pub buzzing tonight!

🍴 A little heads-up for next week…

If everything goes to plan, we’re hoping to start serving food from next Thursday! 🎉

This does mean that space for the quiz will be more limited, and we’ll probably only be able to accommodate around 6–7 teams, depending on how busy we are.

So, if you’d like to join us next Thursday, please book your team in advance to avoid disappointment.

Progress is being made in the kitchen, the new oven is on order, and our chef is raring to go! We can’t wait to get the kitchen fired up and start serving you.

🧠 QUIZ NIGHT – 24th SEPTEMBER
Join us from 8pm for the return of our quiz night!

We’re still working through a few teething problems — our phone and internet aren’t fully working yet, and there’s another skip on the way as we continue clearing, improving and getting everything back into shape.

There’s plenty still to do, but we’re getting there.

Meet our newest member of our team

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Daniel Harvey will be joining us as our new Chef at The Rising Sun!

Daniel brings a wealth of experience from working across a number of restaurants throughout his career — but what makes this appointment even more special is that Dan has previously worked in the kitchen here at The Riser.

So, in many ways, he’s coming back home. ❤️

It’s fantastic to welcome a familiar face back into the pub, and we’re really excited to see Dan put his own stamp on the kitchen as we continue bringing The Rising Sun back to life.

The kitchen preparations are well underway, and we can’t wait to let him get stuck in.

Welcome home, Dan! ☀️
