Hi everyone,

We’d like to thank everyone for their patience over the past few weeks, and we can confirm that Geek Retreat Truro will be closing on Friday 12th June 2026.

We’d like to thank our staff for their fantastic hard work, and our communities for their support over the years, and our volunteers for their time and effort. We appreciate each and every one of you.

We’ll miss seeing you all every week but we’re grateful that we got the chance to spend the time getting to know you all.

We’d also like to thank Troll Trader Truro for continuing events for our communities over the past few weeks.

Just a reminder that Troll Trader Truro is a play! Store so will have Chaos Rising on sale from 12pm Monday, I'm unsure if there will be allocations etc.

Afternoon all

We wanted to share a quick update with our community regarding Geek Retreat Truro.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be taking a short two-week break from day-to-day operations. During this time, the space will be looked after by Troll Trader Truro, ensuring our communities still have a place to call home, while we take the opportunity to step back and reset.

This isn’t goodbye just yet, but it does mark the beginning of some important conversations about the future of the store. When we return, we’ll be taking some time to carefully plan what comes next, with a focus on making the right decisions for both ourselves and the community.

We’ll keep you updated every step of the way. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, it genuinely means a lot to us.

Hey Folks 😭

This is a post that we have tried so hard not to write but with everything going on in the world and increasing costs we sadly, and ultimately, cannot put this off any longer.

As of the end of Wednesday 29th April, Geek Retreat Truro will be no more 😭.

We want to thank all of our regular customers for sticking with us over the last 5 years as well as every community that we've created and has stuck by us.

Myself and Hannah also want to thank every single member of staff new and old that has been with us on our crazy journey, without them we could not have made it as far as we did.

For our customers and communities I would like to sign post you to Troll Trader Truro not far from our store, they are planning on running more events on most of the same days to help accommodate you all so you all have somewhere to play and don't need to change your current routines.

I was thinking of being all cool and leaving on a quote or something awesome, instead I'm just going to say Thank you and see you all soon, we are still going to be kicking about playing TCG's and D&D.

Ok so Pokémon folks it will be the same detail as before. We have very very little in the way of product hitting the shop floor.

That being said it will be EITHER an Emboar, Meganium or Feraligatr box per person and 1 booster bundle per person. I'm letting you know so you can plan your journey better. We open at 12 noon. Again, please do not queue across the road - it's dangerous, down the steps and follow the path to the right.

Pokémon Pre-orders will be available for pick up after 1pm. We appreciate you want your orders but as we expect a crowd, please give our staff a chance to deal with the horde, then you can come collect your product. Also, if you have a pre-order, no you cannot buy another one.

This again goes without saying, and I can't believe I'm saying this again! IF YOU ARE RUDE TO OUR STAFF I WILL BAN YOU, not only from pre orders but from the store! They work exceptionally hard to make sure we can get product in as many hands as possible, so don't be THAT person!

Other than that stay safe and have fun..
